I'll go watch it in any case.

I hope the retconns don't wreck the story too much espeacially the baby Moses Jesus Thrall xD.

Still its either gonna be a hollywood action explosion fun movie or something actually good.

I'm still leaning on the first option to come true though.

I have a feeling this will bomb. Sorry to derail the hype train.
There is no train. Everyone is very cynical and skeptical about this movie.

I don't really like the whole, "These Orcs are working with the Humans to save everybody!" angle. That... that never happened.

I suppose I'll just have to consider the movies as a separate canon, what with flying Dalaran and all that.
It is a seperate cannon, it's a movie universe like Marvel and DC. And even if orcs work with humans, if you're a lore nerd you'll understand how far that goes in the grand scheme of things in the 1st movie.

It's been stated multiple times that the movie isn't in the same continuity as the games. Flying Dalaran is one such example.

And let's be honest, WC1 barely had a story. WC2 barely had a story either for that matter. Frankly, I'm fine with the movie doing its own thing. It doesn't affect the game's continuity, but allows a more nuanced tale than "orcs bad, humans good, fight."
To be fair, the cannon story of RTS games was inserted with books (Tides of Darkness, Beyond the Dark Portal), even though they came out in early era of WoW. That's where the movie draws the source material, from The Last Guardian book.
