DOOMWHEELS!

Now have Thanquol as a legendary lord.
Perhaps in the future because I am starting to doubt it, because if he is an LL at the start, they would have shown him off first and foremost than Queek Headtaker. And from the ritual video I have seen I think its Lord Skrolk of Clan Pestilence.

I don't know about that. The thing about Thanquol is that he isn't much of a trailer material unless you just make it a comedy. Playing with him should just make the game hilarious, plus he was a big player in the end times so it's quite probable.

But Malus Darkblade is pretty much impossible...
Also here is another video for the Skaven in the game, their Campaign intro:

Watching Indypride's video on it, I think he said each faction only gets 2 legendary lords and since we've seen Queek and Skrolk (and everyone reckons it's Clan Mors and Clan Pestilens for the major Skaven factions), I feel that the greatest comedy creation in the Warhammer world will sadly be kept to DLC.

Or Free DLC.

Wurrzag, Vlad and Isabella von Carstein, and Grombrindal were Free Legendary Lord DLC.

Thanquol could be one.

The Army Roster for the Skaven and let me tell you I feel alot of units are missing being saved for the future DLC:

https://www.totalwar.com/blog/skaven-army-roster/

The Missing Units in question are:

Verminlords (So far, they might be the surprise final boss like the Lord of Change)
Chieften (Warrior Hero Unit)
Packmasters (Whips Monster units)
Warplock Jezzails (Sniper Rifles)
Ratling Gun (Gatling Guns)
Poisoned-Wind Mortar
Warp-Grinder
Rat Swarm
Wolf Rats
Giant Rats
Brood Horrors (Giant Fatter Rats)
Stormfiends (Rat Ogres decked out in Armor and Guns)

They damn well better not be DLC. As it is, I still think 4 races to start is disappointing for $72 CAD.

Since CA confirmed that each of the three games will contain 4 base races, at a time when already 8 TT races were playable, it was pretty much guaranteed that Skaven and the other major races wouldn't be DLC (that and the oh-so-subtle rat dropped in the announcement). Instead, it looks like minor, underdeveloped races such as Norsca will be the focus of premium content from now on. Makes sense since those probably need more work put into them, while there is an obvious demand (especially for Kislev).

On another note, kinda bummed out at the lack of Ratling Guns.

Well the thing is there is now only 4 Major Factions left that are not yet added to the game: Tomb Kings, Ogre Kingdoms, Chaos Dwarfs, and the Daemons of Chaos.

And the Tomb Kings have a strong possibilty of being DLC for Game 2 because the Southlands are a continant in the map already, but does not have Tomb Kings and Araby faction at the start.

And I also hope Araby and Kislev become factions themselves.

That's actually a good point. The Tomb Kings' expected location is, as of WH2, inhabited by generic undead. It would be weird for the TK to be introduced in an area revealed by the next installment, with their land in the New World being ruled by an AI faction (like the blightlands in the Old World). That said, I still really doubt that CA would choose to make a minor/undeveloped faction one of the, at least, four base races of WH3, for marketing reasons. Perhaps they plan to make four factions of each respective chaos god for Daemons and maybe WoC as well.

Araby is right now populated by Bretonnians, but some are taking the detail dropped in the current video ("Araby is CURRENTLY filled with crusaders") to mean that they'll be implemented. I'd hope so, especially with the recent inclusion of Norsca.

Hey, as fellow Total War players, can I ask your guys' opinion? My friend says there's no way you can have a Total War 40k. I disagree because I want to see what I can do with some Primaris marines.

But to be fair, he's more of the mind that Games Workshop would never allow it because as 40k is their biggest cash cow, having a cheaper way to do battles would undercut their bottom line. I can't help but to agree to that, but I feel like it could still be profitable in many ways. Some people just really like collecting and painting!

My dream 40k Strategy game is not a Total War style game, but say an ambitous Turned Based Strategy game

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.952491-The-Warhammer-40k-game-of-my-dreams-is-a-Turned-Based-Strategy-game

To summerize the thread, I want it to be like say a bigger scale X-Com/Fire Emblem, with the Story Presentation of Starcraft 2 and the acting of Dawn of War. And every battle animation is unique to each unit.

And it will have all the Major factions and I would split the DLC like this:

Start of the game: Space Marines (Ultramarines), Imperial Guard (8th Cadians), Orks, Chaos Space Marines (Black Legion).

DLC 1: Eldar and Dark Eldar. (Eldar vs Dark Eldar themed)

DLC 2: Necrons and Tyranids. (Aliens and Robots)

DLC 3: Adeptus Mechanicus and Tau Empire. (Mecha vs Mecha)

DLC 4: Sisters of Battle and Daemons of Chaos. (Heaven and Hell themed)

Free DLC would be the unique Space Marines like the Space Wolves and Chaos Space Marine chapters like the Thousand Sons.

both Skrolk and Queek were in the trailer.
Skrolk was the guy holding the book casting spells in the daytime fight.

So yea Thanquol is not a LL right now, but he is like the grombrindal or Vlad of skaven, it's hard to imagine him not in the game.
Unit roster is out aswell: https://www.totalwar.com/blog/skaven-army-roster/

Seems they are missing alot of things:
Rattling gunners, warplock jezzails, Verman Lords, Giant rats, Poison Wind Mortar, Doom-Flayer, and warp grinder.

They are missing quite a few iconic units of the skaven, so im just going to guess who is in the running for first DLC.
