Yup. A pity too, the chapter in question, the Celestial Lions, were rather outspoken against the harsh methods of the Holy Inquisition. Now they'll never have a chance to see the error of their ways.

Curse those extremely precise and extremely selective ork snipers.
Well. That's not suspicious in any way. Not at all.

Maybe the Imperium would be a little nicer? If so they'd likely be a little bit better off...maybe they'd let the Emperor die? Then he'd either get resurrected and lead humanity on to greatness or just die, leaving us even more thoroughly screwed. Otherwise, eh no real difference, I can't see the Jedi making much of a difference on the battlefield and their tech is inferior generally. Their faster than light travel might be useful though, if it works without using the warp then that would seriously mix things up.

The other way around, if say space marines existed in Star Wars...well they'd kinda mess everything up. I think Jedi/Sith would fare well enough against them (excluding some of the more dangerous ones) but the average trooper? Honestly I'm not even sure their version of heavy weaponry would stop a space marine/bigger Tyranid/necron/anything really...
Well, considering a standard Space Marine Bolter is actually a rocket launcher...yeah...Star Wars heavy weapon is a joke compared to the crap the Guardsmen can come up with.

Well star wars planets would start dropping off of the map one by one for starters.

Someone one time had a cool way to make the universes work on a forum post I read once.

I know you Star Wars fans don't acknowledge midichlorians because you think space-magic is more plausible but hear me out and don't leave!!! :(

Midichlorians draw in warp energy!!! :D Jedi = psykers. And it works for both lores!

I mean, how Chaos uses the warp and how Eldar use the warp is essentially the light and dark side of the force.

I like how a lot of the answers are "space marines roflstomp everything and you lose". Really? And you say that a normal star wars soldier couldn't stand up to space marines. Then by that logic the eldar, orks, nids, IG, and tau should've all been eradicated by the space marines already.

No.

The Tau, Eldar, Tyranids, Necrons, Chaos Space Marines and Space Marines all roflstomp everyone. The only reason the Space Marines don't rape the known universe is they're too few in number and their enemies are incredibly powerful. The only reason humanity hasn't been wiped out is because their enemies are so numerous that they fight each other half the time.

The Jedi and the Sith might stand a chance as individuals, I can see a strong Jedi taking down a marine. But their men? No. The droids are pathetic and would get annihilated by anyone and the same goes for the clones/stormtroopers or the rebel troopers, they wouldn't last a day. Bear in mind the big guns for the Empire are basically AT-AT's or equivalent right? Compare that to a titan in the 40K universe...
Yeah.
Even individuals like Starkiller, Vader, Windu and so on would just get creamed in any major fight, the worlds are too different, 40K is a universe of war where everything revolves around a grand fight to survive. The Star Wars universe's little tiff between the Empire and the Rebels is paltry in comparison. Seriously, "zomg a weapon that can destroy planets!"? Meet every single ship in every fleet ever for the 40K guys. If they actually fought it would be so one sided it's ridiculous.

I reckon Yoda could crush a few Space Marines in their armour.
Except Yoda would be killed long before he even saw a Space Marine.

Not the Halo arrays. That's the one thing I know of that 40k has yet to match or beat.
In universe-killing? Pretty sure it has a few. That said, even if the Halos were fired in WH40K, half of the races would still be alive. Orks would likely not be affected as they are effectively fungus, the Necrons wouldn't even notice, and the Chaos lot in the Eye of Terror likely wouldn't be considered "biomass".

Would be a way to prevent Tyranid evolution for a bit, I guess.
