There is STILL NO INFO AT ALL

But what we can glean from the game is Space Marines, Orcs, and Chaos Space Marines are all playable races. Hinted are the Inquisition and Imperial Guard and OHSHI ARE THOSE WARHOUND TITANS SKEETSKEETSK- sorry....got carried away.

And Heretics. Vehicles are depicted, and the game has a bold, Graphic Novel style art direction. I like it.

Now I know people will inevitably complain about Bolters being reduced to pewpew machine guns when they're actually more like recoilless vulcan cannons that shoot grenades, but nevermind that. We need more info, but it LOOKS good. Better then I could have imagined.

Well, I'm not that excited as I've never played Warhammer, but from the glimpse of gameplay I saw, it seems it's a MMO with shooter gameplay.

Do want.

@IzisviAziria

Warhammer online is based in Games Workshops fantasy setting, Warhammer 40k is the Sci-Fi setting, its a lot darker much more gothic and visceral setting than the fantasy one.

The tag line for 40K has always been
"In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war..."
which gives you a kind of idea of the setting.

Stolen from Wiki :D
"The Warhammer 40,000 game takes place in a highly-dystopic, science-fantasy universe. Set in the 41st millennium, most of the major storylines that provide the backdrop and history span over millennia.

In the WH40K setting, the Imperium of Man have expanded into much of the Milky Way galaxy, and are rubbing elbows with a number of sentient extraterrestrials. These include the Tau, a young and technologically-sophisticated civilization of aliens that work for the "greater good" of their empire and its inhabitants; the Necrons, soulless, living-metal constructs tricked into slavery by star-devouring creatures called the C'tan; the Eldar, an ancient and arrogant race whose "psykers" can predict the future; the Tyranids, an all-consuming, all-organic, bio-engineered, extragalactic swarm; and the Orks, whose boisterous personality, tactics and biology make them the comic relief of the series. Each of these races have playable figurines. Other playable armies include the Witch Hunters, Daemonhunters, Sisters of Battle and the Imperial Guard, organizations within the Imperium; the Kroot, first introduced as a member of the Tau consortium; the fallen Dark Eldar; and the capricious Daemons of Chaos. The four gods of Chaos?Khorne, Tzeentch, Nurgle and Slaanesh are embodiments of vice who attempt to corrupt members of all races to serve their ends. These four "Ruinous Powers" live in a parallel dimension called "the Warp" or "the Immaterium," which is utilized for interstellar travel and can be channeled by psykers. Psykers make up the bulk of the Imperium's information infrastructure, handling interstellar navigation and communication, but are always at risk of being perverted by the Warp or being possessed by daemons. The Ruinous Powers also make their presence known through a rip in the galaxy at a nebula called the "Eye of Terror," where the Warp has broken through into normal space. From here Abaddon the Despoiler, Warmaster of the servants of Chaos, launches "Black Crusades" to (attempt to) conquer the galaxy in service of his masters.

While the bulk of humanity's military power is found in the Imperial Guard, it is the Space Marines giant, genetically enhanced super soldiers with world destroying firepower and unswerving, fanatical loyalty to the Emperor of Mankind who are the most famous. The Emperor created the Space Marines, and their leaders the Primarchs, for use in "The Great Crusade," a two century effort to re-unite the farflung colonies of humanity following a dark age known as the "Age of Strife". Unfortunately, some of the Primarchs gave their devotion to the Ruinous Powers, becoming the Chaos Space Marines and bringing war to Holy Terra during a conflict known as the Horus Heresy, after the Primarch who led the attack. This war left the Emperor crippled and dying, and he has since been intombed in the Golden Throne, a comprehensive life-support apparatus that sustains his body as he uses his vast psychic powers to combat the gods of Chaos and help smooth interstellar travel."

Well that's very awesome.

Question: If they want to stay even SOMEWHAT true to the lore, shouldn't they make the number of Imperial Guard players in a PVP area twice that of another faction such as Chaos Space Marines? And of course have the Imperial Guard players much weaker on their own? The feeling of being a tiny pawn in a massive battle would be awesome as the IG.

Perhaps something like:
10 Space marines = 10 Chaos Space Marines = 20 Imperial Guard = 20 Orks = 20 Tyrannid.

Just to stick with the fluff SOMEWHAT.

Okay I'm rambling, I'll stop.

..I'm confused, is this same developers that did Warhammer Online? If they are why would they make another Warhammer MMO? If not, I hope it´s a lot better then Warhammer Online since it wasn´t any difference from WoW

I'll keep an eye out for more info, but as of now I am officially stoked. WoW has lost me, but this game might actually get me back into the MMO fold. Damn, that gameplay looks great.
