The King and the Warlord the DLC is called.

Mostly a Unit Roster addition for already existing factions, mainly the Dwarfs and the Greenskins.

For Dwarfs:

Legendary Lord: Belegar Ironhammer

New Units: Bolt Throwers (Balistas), Dwarf Rangers, Runelord

For Greenskins:

Legendary Lord: Goblin Warlord Skarsnik.

New units: Squig Herd, Nasty Skulkers, Night Goblin Warboss, Night Goblin Squig Riders.

Its alright but I am still waiting for Bretonnia fully finished and has a Campaign and Wood Elves. This is just the Grim and the Grave 2.

Give me something more like the Call of the Beastmen.

Gosh, those trailers make clicking on the auto-resolve button look so dramatic.

Hopefully they keep adding more. I still intend to get it in a few years time when all the DLC is out and it has dropped in price. They already have Chaos which is my favourite army and Vampire Counts which is also one of my favourites (did not like the way they locked Chaos off though).

Just waiting for Wood elf, Dark elf, Lizardmen and Tomb kings now. I know they are further afield but I would love to see them.

I'm not particularly interested in these units per-say but it's nice to see the orcs and dwarves getting some attention. CA has been all about the Vampires and Empire up until now (Beastment expansion excluded).

My priority is all the Elves, Chaos Dwarfs, Ogre Kingdoms, and Daemons of Chaos.

I like this piece of dlc more than Grime and the Grave mainly because each Legendary Lord has their own starting location. That's a big plus for me.

I really should get back to this game. I had this little script table where I made the size of the squads 150+ and had just massive Orks vs endless zombie horde battles. Thousands on each side.
Epic.

In Rome 2, the little dudes had a little swordfight, and the moves they used in the swordfight mimicked the outcome of the battle.

They should put that back in, that was great.

I don't thing they'll ever put that back in since it used matchlock combat and everyone complained about the so they removed it

Whaaaaaat?

Why would people complain about that? What was wrong with it? What's matchlock combat, by the way?

Basically, two people would fight one another and be left in their own little world. This would lead to some really silly things like Roman peasants taking on Germanic berserkers one at a time or people sliding around enemy lines to line up properly. The new combat system is more like Medieval 2 and Rome 1, where units can gang up and fight in formation.

Personally, I think it's a welcome return. It beats contrived, flashy sword fights that look out of place in the larger picture.

Are we talking about on the battle map or the campaign map?

I'm talking about how the two little generals on the campaign map had a little swordfight when you autoresolve a battle.

I meant battle map. The swordfights on the map were pretty sweet.

Ya but the reason they had that animation was because of match combat. Now they only have kill animations and that's only for monster units I think.

we might see the Woodelves. The rest will probably come in a latter game. The only other faction I see happening are the Skaven.

I fucking hate CA's DLC plans. They earned back so much of my goodwill when Attila came out, then the DLC dropped and all I could do was roll my eyes. Then they outright lied about the Chaos DLC. "Oh we can't afford to make the game without Chaos being a paid DLC" months later and it's free on the first week.

And don't even get me started on paid blood. And don't even give me that "Oh it's just kowtowing to the ESRB" line. Games with far more blood get the same exact ESRB rating as Total War, and even if they were 18 and over their sales would hardly be harmed.

I want to like CA so much but seriously, they need a hard kick in the teeth when it comes to DLC.

Why do they have to make it so difficult to like them?
