Anyone around here interested in the Warmachine video game? (See the trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHG6BhqZY74 )Seems to be fairly early on in production, and there isn't a whole lot of information on it as far as I can tell. Although, to be fair, I haven't exactly been following it extensively, but I have been enjoying the tabletop game lately and I do like the idea of the game. From what information has been released, it seems to be a third-person action game with the option to switch to first-person for shooting. You control a Warcaster (there will apparently be multiple Warcasters per faction, which probably means Khador players are going to get Butcher, which pretty much means everyone else is dead), with the option to temporarily take control of your Warjacks (the giant steampunk robots) to take control. There's a spot in the trailer where Stryker seems to be casting spells selected from a radial wheel as well, which is nice. I do like the idea of the gameplay, it seems the best way to bring across the feeling of the battlegroup.
It looks like it's going to be set in Llael during the Khadoran invasion, which is pretty cool, although it does indicate that it probably won't end well for the "good" guys (despite the fact that Khador is far cooler and not, strictly speaking, evil, most people seem to consider Cygnar the good guys <_< ). I'm a bit hazy on the older Warmachine fluff, I only started playing in MkII, but from what I recall Riversmet gets razed almost to the ground to set an example for the Llaelese forces.
Anyway, yeah, it looks like a pretty interesting game, and I'll probably buy it on release. Anyone else interested in this game?
