Well since I'm a PS3 scrub, I went to my friend's house to play convicition. Since I played Thief, Hitman, Metal Gear Solid, Manhunt, Tenchu, No One Lives Forever, and previous Splinter Cells, I was expecting something real gritty and suspenseful. What I got was basically a power rush.
It didn't feel like I was a super spy with more tools than Inspector Gadget, like in No One Lives Forever and Metal Gear Solid. And neither did it feel like I was going to die any second like in Manhunt and Thief. I felt like a Terminator.
It felt like Manhunt in the sense that guards are extremely talkative and firearms are overpowered and the fact that guards have REALLY bad night vision, and Tenchu and Assassin's Creed in the fact that melee attacks are one hit kills and are extremely easy to do. And maybe a dash of God of War considering how brutal and fun the interrogation sequences are.
Well it was fun, but it was just too easy for a stealth veteran like me. It doesn't feel like a stealth game anymore than Assassin' Creed 2 or an action 3rd person game like Uncharted 2. What do you think?
