It was allright. I have no problem with the actual game and controls (yeah, i said that) But giving a large fps-fanbase a RTS, not a good idea.

I thought Halo wars did pretty good as an RTS on the consale, in no way does that mean it was a good RTS but it could be a stepping stone for a whole grener to go on the console. The controls worked pretty good, if they keep at the might make a decent RTS for a console.

Why is noone pitching crazy ideas? I guess most people only read the title.
Here's another one: Shadow of the Collusus Versus Battle Style

Train collosi(?) and make them fight online against other players. It'll be like those Rampage games, with the beast fighting each other Gozilla vs Mothra style. I'm kidding.

A Left 4 Dead- esque MMO could be interesting.
How exactly would that work? Interesting idea, but would the gameplay mechnics still work in an MMO setting?

If you could produce any genre-crossover what would you make?
Any ones you thought were a good idea?
Did anyone actually read the first post? I see a bunch of people answering if Halo Wars was a good game or not, when there are other things being pondered.

OT: I can't say if Halo Wars was good or not, but I think it's a story that lends well to RTS. I'm sure it isn't as bad as everyone says and that most are beiong elitist PC gamers (is there any other kind? =O)

As for good genre mash-ups? Bioshock MMO would be my pick. I'd love to play something steampunk/clockpunk/anything-punk with my friends.

Halo crossed with assassins creed. It's a strange one but imagine a Nimble Spartan leaping around a city in third person with gun play mixed in. It would be pretty bad ass. I must say I did not like Halo Wars.

I have an idea, but its a little stupid. Its a metroid online shooter based on the Modern Warfare engine.
Sounds rather doable and reasonable. Maybe they could just include a multiplayer mode in the new Metroid: Other M.

Changed the title now.

Bioshock MMO sounds really good. You could have awesome cities, and a good driving narrative. Would there be factions like in WoW? Mutants vs scientists? Promising but I guess Bioshock isn't the biggest IP for such a development effort.

I'd like to see a Guild Wars RTS-RPG (similar to Warlords Battlecry).

Halo Wars was a -terrible- idea.

Infuriating controls, extreme lack of depth (1: build tank shop, 2: build lots of tanks, 3: ????, 4: VICTORY), inability to use anything but the most simple tactical maneuvers (Tanks in front... mostly, artillery in back... mostly) and a really weak story made the RTS genre look bad.

Really, really bad.

you broke my Halo-fanboy heart :'( but don't worry, I still love you =3

And to all the PC elitists saying it was bad because it was on a console, kindly go fuck yourself and any small animals in the near vicinity.
NO U

Kindly detail for me which RTS games have been superior on consoles to their PC counterparts.

That's what I thought. It's not elitism when it's simply better, it's reality.
