Was there ever a trailer for Tim Burton's Superman movie?

For years my dad has been telling me there was a Superman trailer in front of Star Wars Episode I with Nic Cage as Superman and I have scoured the internet for this thing to no avail. I just read a book called Superman vs. Hollywood (which is excellent by the way) and no mention is made of this. Just that millions was spent on sets, concept art and Burton and Cage's salaries.

I've seen Burton's original sketches and the concept art and read the general overview of the script, which borrows heavily from the Death of Superman story but no. There is NO trailer. Quite frankly you need a movie or test footage to go with making a trailer. Superman Lives never even got that far.
