Obviously, the intruder was the T-1000, and it melted away. Maybe it even turned into the saw and tried to kill the husband, and then insinuated it's way into her hand while she wasn't looking!
That's probably what happened...right?

Somehow they'll spin it to make it the man's fault.
Conversely, if it was a man who'd attacked the wife instead of the other way around, it wouldn't be news.

I'm no murderer but I'd like to think I'd be competent enough to kill an unarmed person while they slept. I mean really, some of these criminals I'd feel insulted to be killed by.

Gaah! I hate it when articles don't say if it's the stateof Washington, or the city (D.C.). Since I live in Washington, I tend to take more interest in stories that involve my area.

And with a saw. A fucking automatic saw, no less. How do you fail at that!?

Based on what I've read, crazy cow is crazy and should be tried for attempted murder. And every time someone reads out her charges, they should stress the word 'attempted' to make her feel bad.

I'm not sure how I'd react to waking up with a reciprocating saw in my neck - if I had a chance to wake up at all - but I don't think I'd be so patient as to call the police without at least trying to kill the ***** right back. Points to this guy for doing the sensible thing in a completely irrational situation.

She actually reminds me quite a lot of Annie Wilkes, come to think of it.

Bah. If I wanted to kill a spouse, I wouldn't do something that would wake them up so obviously. I'd get a syringe, fill it with air, and then give them an air embolism. Sure, they might wake up, but they'd probably not be able to do much. Once they've died from that, I could worry about the whole body disposal bit. But that's just my line of thinking.

Either way, the woman's clearly a loon, though I wouldn't be surprised to hear a sob story from her side of things. There's always two sides to a coin.

All I have to say is: How do you NOT wake up if someone starts up a sawzall next to your head?
you do hence his ability to stop her before she cut him so deep he died

I would have assumed that if a sawzall was already drawing blood from your freaking neck, it would be too late to save yourself. Unless it wasn't on when she started cutting him, which would make more sense because those things are too loud to not wake the victim. An unpowered sawzall would be a very ineffective weapon or cutting tool.

Which just brings up the question, of all the tools you can use to easily kill a sleeping person (which, I suppose, includes every dense, hard, or edged object in the house) why use a powered saw?

But seriously, if the guy was still in the same house with the ***** who attacked him with a hatchet, then his head isn't doing him much good even while attached to his shoulders.

I dunno. There's almost too much stupidity going on in this story to be believable on either side. If it weren't for the infinite potential stupidity of human beings, I'd say this whole story was bullshit.

It's a bizarre way to try and kill your husband, although, maybe she never intended to get away with it. It's a very gruesome and personal way to murder someone so she must hold some serious anger/hatred towards him.

The charges should definitely be upped to attempted murder. It's ridiculous that it's just domestic violence assault. Although... why didn't she kill him? Maybe she just wanted to maim him... not that it makes the situation much better but I can't understand why she didn't finish the job. Who called the police?
As much as games would have you think otherwise, killing other human beings is actually hard.
