Things which bug me about this:
1.Oh look, it's that same 20 minutes of footage that has been reposted about 4 times.
2. Why do the npc's not react AT ALL to being stabbed and slashed? In a game that emphasizes melee combat you really can not get away with half-assing it like that. Look at games like Condemned that made melee fighting feel brutal and realistic, is there any reason why the combat in this game looks like it's being handled in the same way that melee in a fps is?
My best guess is that Condemned was so very focused around that melee gameplay, they wanted to make it feel absolutely authentic and real.
In Skyrim, you can use bows, magic, swords, your fists, whatever. So I'm simply assuming that being able to incorporate the physics and weighty feel that the melee in condemned had would bleed into the other methods you have of fighting, and make those feel stupid or out of place.
And I can't wait for this game. A lot of people say that gameplay, menu interface, whatever would make them wait for this game, but the thing that sold me most on Oblivion was the sheer scale of it all. You get this awesome feeling that you really are in a completely separate world, rather than just a video game, and that feeling seems to be emanating from every rock, tree, and bush in Skyrim.
