So guys for those of you who don't know let me summarize Watch Dogs 2 for you:

Somehow they managed to take Watch Dogs and make even more cool and edgy for the kids than the original one with the rebelious Anonimous on LSD vibe.

While I still think that Aiden Pearce was not that good of a character (he was a bit of an asshole overall), I think that there was material to make him a good character and make for a interesting story in a sequel. So switching setting and main characters sounds a bit of a cop out to me. Specially don't like making Dedsec the good guys now when it was implied they were as big as assholes as the villains in the original just with diferent goals in mind.

However I did like the new city, San Francisco which is not a city often explored and the new parkour movement. May pick up, may not. I don't know...

As boring as Aiden was, just looking at the new guy makes me groan. He looks like the biggest douchebag hipster ever...which I suppose fits given the game takes place in San Francisco. The only thing about the game that didn't make me roll my eyes was the billard ball on a string thing.

Yeah it prettymuch seems like they're rebooting what they had of the series lore. Even Defalt was firly sinister behind the Deadmau5-expy face (particularly in Bad Blood, where he was the antagonist). I guess the "real" DEDSEC could show up partway in and come down on the stupid kids using their name, though.

It's a Ubisoft game. It's just the same generic open world gameplay, with an insufferably cliched focus-group designed protagonist, just like every other one of their games.

It looks like a vast improvement over the first game, and I like the idea of never having to enter the locales yourself.

BUT I will never buy it. The main cast is insufferable. Everyone sounds like a bad Joss Whedon knockoff and look like they fell through every artisan coffee shop and Hot Topic on the West Coast.

Mr Studs and R2Edge2 really grind my gears, even if I was surprised at how wimpy Studly sounded. Er, sorry, 'Wrench'.

Holy shit, when people talk in this game I feel the need to punch someone in the gut. Who the fuck did they get to voice Marcus?

EDIT: Oh, and I hope they have a proper explanation why some idealistic hipster douche hero guy is okay with killing random security guards and police officers who are just doing their jobs.

I was optimistic, especially since it isn't Aiden Pierce,
but then I remember all that happened in the past game. I will agree with everyone else, and say that this new protagonist is a little too hipster for me.

Sure, I like how it's about you and a group of "new age" hackers, seemingly giving an Anonymous look, but boy, the protag looks like he needs some different clothes. Heck, give him the guy to the left's clothes, I'd rather take "edgy" than "hipster."
