Looks very nice. It seems very set-piece reliant (hopefully that is just because of the "trailer gameplay" showed finished spectacles to wow us).

Also hopefully the torch mechanic and the shouts from the enemy whenever they spawn won't become tiresome.
The enemy shouts aren't a constant- they're more in place for the tutorial to present that sense of danger to the player. Though they mumble other things, things that might be a little less direct and more disturbing.

Once the video got to the horror part I immediately thought "this reminds me of Alone in the Dark, but with much less fire". The game looks somewhat interesting, I'll probably rent it when it comes out.

Had alost forgot about this, perhaps forcefully so after the "not on PC" announcement. Alan Wake used to be the posterboy for PC potential, (I first saw it as a demo of quad-core capabilities,) so I don't quite understand that. Never mind. Would have bought it but guess not now.

Didn't... didn't i saw this a year ago or something? I honestly thought the game was already released...

Yeah, i am sure i saw gameplay-material like this over a year ago. Ah well... maybe i will buy it, when it is in the 10 buck-category.

I am creeped out by this video, because Alan Wake has stolen all my clothes, and added elbow patches to my jacket.

Anyway, I would nerdgasm, but xbox exclusive!

I remember this game being marketed as "Vista only", back when Vista was new, and getting a lot of flak. Meh, I say.

Looks awesome, but the big glowy thing is a bit weird. He's getting advice from a big photon that talks. That's just freaky.

Think I'll leave it a while after release to see if it's worth picking up. On the one hand it's made by the same folks that made Max Payne, and it does look like a decent change from the norm...but then again so did Alone in the Dark, with it's use of light and inventory items, and that game is among the worst I've played (especially the second half when they wanted me to trek around to find roots, I gave up then)

That does make sense, I just can't stand it in games when a character repeats the same tired stock phrases throughout.

I am quite intrigued, not least because of the sheer development time that this game has had. I do genuinely hope this game will be good.

I hate the bit where he got hit by the flying tank and barely even flinched, just dragged me out of the trailer so much, otherwise it looked ok, still looking forward to seeing how it turns out/
