I don't use water bottles.
They cost too much, when I can just buy a washable cup with a lid and fill it with water from a sink or water fountain.

it happens on ice shelves where baby seals chill while the parents go hunting for food. Since they banned the activity for everyone except Inuits there has been an increasing population problem...and baby seals make great boots...just sayin.Greyfox105 said:

You can easily shred the bottles, cap on or off, and then recycle them.

Actually it probably is. It probably costs them less to pay any possible fines for dumping the waste than it does to actually put the resources into recycling it.Demented Teddy said:
That's pretty stupid that they just throw them away. My sister's middle school collects bottle caps and recycles them somehow. I don't understand why a company can't do that.
Thanks for the heads up. We have to sort our rubbish (papers, bottles, glass etc) and crush the bottles to get them into the ridiculously small sized boxes that the council gave us. In order to crush them you need to take the tops off
