Water Temple is not the hardest temple.

Water Temple as a whole isn't so bad, just the damn Dark Link mini boss fight. Dunno if they made that easier in OoT 3D, but I remember it being hella difficult in the original game without getting a bunch of magic potions and spamming Din's Fire.

I need to play through it again and see if I can do it another way.

I glitched, or screwed up in the forest temple and made the game unwinnable. Didn't bother playing it again.

I ran out of (small) keys in the water temple & the only room left had a locked door. XC

I can remember the water one, maybe not as the hardest but certainly the one with the most running back and forth, and defiantly the most time consuming.

LOZ temples are not really so bad once you get the gist of them.

The water temple is the most annoying i never really died much in water temple but for the amount of time i spent in there compared to its size it took me ages first try massive slog that's why it annoys people.

It is easy to get lost in the water temple. Although I hear they changed that in the most recent releases of the game.

All the temples are fairly easy if you've played it once. If you haven't the water is definitely the hardest, just trying to figure out all the different water levels to each area, etc.

As for most arduous however, I would say that's the shadow temple. There's a lot of cheap crap that can get you in there that has made me angry before.

Ya, I agree it's really frustrating having really long rooms with bottomless pits everywhere causing you to reset several rooms back every time you fall.

I've heard a lot of people say the water temple was so hard, but I didn't have any trouble when I played it. The one I had trouble with was the forest temple. I'd always end up a key or two short. :l

Hey escapists, At the moment I'm playing through OoT on the 3DS (its a blast btw) but I've recently arrived at the Forest temple and SHIT it's harder than I remember, I claim that the Forest Temple is harder than the Water one.

Ocarine of time on n64 had a different water tempel then the 3ds version.
They changed it in the remake because oldschool watertempel was an unnavigateable mess.
I wouldnt call it hard either but it will take alot more time then the others because of all the searching
i assume you only played the original watertempel up too now, so maybe playing it without the navigational issues will demonstrate what i mean. isnt that long afzter the forest temple i think.

Played Ocarina for the first time last year, never even seen footage of it before that. Cleared water temple in half an hour tops. It's the Shadow Temple that's a pain, but even that one I wouldn't call the hardest Zelda Dungeon. That award, IMHO at least, goes to the City in the Sky.

This happened to me my second time through. I didn't know what I did the first time. That's when I accidentally won at life and warped out, and leaped onto the second floor (I didn't expect to land on it..) when the water was down at the bottom...I skipped a locked door, had the key I needed and beat the temple. >> I do that every time now. ...I..probably would still get stuck with no keys if I didn't.

The water temple wasn't exactly hard, just bloody long and tedious. The shadow temple was always my bane. Then again, finally moving that stupid wall to get into phantom ganon's room in the forest temple took way too long.

Shadow Temple forever. Mostly because I used to be terrible at fighting Stalfos, so the boat ride was murder. I eventually beat it and abused Farore's Wind to never have to do it again

I found the 3D Zelda games pretty easy- even in the dungeon thing in the middle of the desert, I just stumbled in there and beat it in one go. Very fun, but something I go in knowning I'm probably not going to die in.

I did get stuck in the forest temple for a bit because I didn't think to fall down the hole in the crooked room. But who would willingly jump into a hole containing a giant hand that gropes you to death?!

ALTTP and the original Legend of Zelda kick my ass...
Is it that much harder, or am I just bad with 2D games?
