Why thank you sir :D

OT: Yeah, I found the Water temple extremely easy, the layout is interesting to say the least but even on my first play through I didn't have any specific difficulties.

The water temple was the one that introduced me to Game FAQs.

I still have yet to complete the game without resorting to a guide to get through the Water Temple yet. Every other one I found fine and fairly linear.

If I recall correctly, it had one kinda BS thing about it, though, and that was the hookshot. You already had one, so you'd naturally try to use it at the targets, and when you weren't close enough, you'd assume you needed to find a new place to try, instead of giving up and returning there when you had the longer one.
yeah that was annoying, although the Well was probably even trollier with all those recovery hearts and blue rupees in the small key chests

EDIT

The forest temple was the one I had most trouble with, for some really stupid reason. I can't remember why, but I got stuck there for a long time, due to not noticing some thing that was really obvious in hindsight.
was it the small key in the first room that you had to climb up the vines to get? that's what got me

It might have been. I can't remember, but I think I there was some door or area I tried to get into, and was certain I had to go there, since there was apparently no other option, and tried different routes. And all the while I was supposed to do something else first, and just hadn't noticed a door or something.

It was something that made me feel really stupid.

I never really had a problem with the water temple, it wasn't too hard it just took a while and got a bit confusing every now and then.

I think the only time I got frustrated was the last fight in the game (It just took so long...)

But then again I haven't played OoT for a while and the last time I did I just played it non-stop for 3 days.

And as for Dark Link, i actually tried to fight him with just my sword and won, with less than 5 hearts left.
Iv only recently learned about Din's Fire.
He's pretty easy to beat even with the master sword as soon as you start using the right attacks. A locked on thrust followed by a vertical swing hits him everytime.

from what I can see the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time has an enormous reputation for being one of the hardest, most frustrating, etc. dungeons in the game, in the zelda series, and in the world. HOWEVER I'm playing through Ocarina of Time now and so far it's the easiest temple I've experienced (forest and fire being the others.) DOES ANYONE AGREE
Well a lot of us played it as a kid you've got to remember that!

You've had years of gaming experience and you understand cliches in level design so you can work through the dungeon faster than a 14 year old who just got out of playing on the SNES.

Yeah I agree, I was able to get through that temple with little diffculty. If I remember correctly, I think I did get stuck one or two time but it wasn't frustrating.

You know, I never had a problem with the Water Temple.

On a dare, my brother told me to try and beat it with the Goron Tunic and the Iron Boots. Considering the fact that it gives you almost 3 whole minutes to survive underwater when not wearing the Zora Tunic, I found it to be a worthy challenge, and I successfully went through the entire experience in that manner.

So no, I didn't think the Water Temple was all that difficult, and I even had fun with it; Goron Tunic and all.

It could be confusing if you didn't keep your head about you. I never had a problem with it, but I can imagine people getting stuck trying to figure out where to go. There are just so many places to go from the central hall. Combine that with changing the water level and it's easy to get a bit lost.

When i played it for the first time the Water Temple kicked my ass hard.

I wandered around the place for hours looking for ONE key, only to go into the tower for the millionth time, look down and notice "Hey, there is a door under that block".
Pissed me off SO MUCH.
Excact same thing happened to me, same key i couldn't find.
