Most people stare at the box, so use it, hypnotise them and tell them they are immortal, and can do whatever they wish, suiciderate goes up. Popoulation comes down. It may be over simplified and a tad unrealistic but I like it. And as it affects everyone who watches TV and lets face it most of us do, you would be hard pushed to say it isn't fair
