I haven't made a thread in a while, so I thought that I'd make this one.

Anyways: You might want to die surrounded by beautiful women, (or men) or maybe you just want to die peacefully in your sleep.

That being said, what way do you NOT want to die in?

For me, I don't want to drown in water. It just sounds like it would be terrible.

This thread wasn't showing up in the forums for me, and I wanted to see if this post would help.
I apologize if this seems similar to a "bump", but it's not.

Any way that gives me time to think (with the exception of throat slitting).

EX: Drowning, burning, waiting for the sun to come up after turning into a vampire, etc.

I would also hate to be mauled by a bear.

Any way involving fire
Any way involving crushing of any kind (unless it's extremely, extremely fast form of crushing that will crush me before my nerves can transmit the pain signals to my brain)
Any way involving being stabbed
Any way involving cancer
Any way involving any form of tropical disease, parasitic disease or haemorrhagic fever (that's your ebolas and whatnot).
Any way involving some sort of horrendously slow mental degradation (Huntington's, Alzheimer's, Early-Dementia, CJD, that sort of stuff)
Any way involving swords or pointed implements
Any way involving boiling
Any way involving Starvation
Any way involving severe blood loss
Any way involving excessive blunt trauma
Any way involving wild animals
And last but not least, any ways that involve exploding. I am very anti-explosion. Yes, not a popular sentiment, but I am firmly against explosions being anywhere near the vicinity of my person. Call me a energy-eventist if you will, but I've met some explosions in my life and they aren't good energy-events. If that makes me prejudiced against explosions, so be it. I don't like em.

In other ways, I really don't want to die in a lot of ways. Heck, I don't want to die. Period. But I know I will. Given the many options I would accept: A heart attack, a gunshot to the centre of my brain, a gunshot to the heart (you die in seconds due to the massive blood pressure drop), some form of influenza or pneumonia, or a very long fall on to the ground (you'd probably die very, very quickly once you hit the ground, if it's solid concrete).

By drowning, because I'm a really good swimmer and the irony would be embarrassing enough to make me rise from the grave.

Drowning isn't that bad, I nearly drowned once. Yes you panic, but than you run out of air and you become very dizzy very fast and than you pass out.

OT: Being eaten by small creatures would be terrible, like being stuck under a rock or avalanche/rockslide and have rats eating you alive.

You know that scene in Peter Jackson's King Kong where the guy is getting eaten by what I think are giant leeches? Yeah, I would really enjoy for that to not happen to me. That scene still disturbs the hell out of me.

Getting my throat cut...i don't like the idea of feeling a cold object cutting my jugular.
Or bleeding to death...or bleeding to death after having my throat cut...gargling blood...or getting my jugular bit by a large animal and bleed to death...gargling in my own blood, bonus points for added drowning (in my own blood)...
Gory enough?

But i guess it's okay if i get resurrected as an undead with a free or get my brain into a necron-like body :D

Still, I just don't like the idea of drowning.
It just sounds...kind of terrifying.
