Joe Cool. Are you a millionaire?
For people like myself on a fairly tight budget, if I hear a movie is crap from reviewers...I'm gonna be skeptical.
If I have friends who go to see said movie, and they thought it was crap...I'm gonna avoid it.
I'm not gonna waste money on something I might/may not like. More importantly, I'm not gonna waste time - 90 to 120 minutes on something I may not like.
If a movie is a load of crap, and countless people go watch it, Hollywood and all involved with that movie are going to make money. If they make money, they are gonna adopt the 'If it ain't broke don't fix it approach' and make more crap.
It's the reason we now have so many sequels being made to films that really didn't need one.
Infact, broaden films to games too.
