A shining bright teal light grew brighter and brighter. Soon, both their bodies were as hot as the early universe. The Faelon that broke off had its neutrons decay into protons, disintegrating the device.

Laguna stood up, and saw EMily and Winona jumping together. He tried running forward, but an electric pain went through his left leg, and he fell on his front.
Laguna sat up, careful not to put any pressure on his injured leg. "Ah... I think that beam thing made my leg cramp flare up." He tried poking the area, and was rewarded with blinding pain for his efforts. "This might take a while to go away. Just go after Varger. It's nothing big."
Laguna smirked. "I dont really se how you stayed with those Dark Soul guys in the first place. You seem a bit too peppy to be hanging around a bunch like that."
Varger rolls away. "so what now. All-powerful or something. Let me tell you about the universe, it can be cheated and robbed simple." He forms a Null Blade. "My tech is an example of that. Destroying matter, existing in more than one plane at once, condensing matter. All of it and more accomplished by the Conglomerant." He readies himself.
With the device gone, signals were reestablished. "John, we lost contact with you earlier. You fine?"

Laguna's leg hurt a little less by now. He tried putting wieght on it, but it still cained. "What made you decide to quit anyway? I take it you couldnt just resign from being an all-powerful demon."
