He then meterialised the Flammbau in his other hand. (a sort of mace that creates a small explosion when swung.) and whacked the creature with it.

Tophat grabs the conduits head with the claw, and lifts him up in the air.

"Greetings, have we met? No? Then stop shooting at me!"

the conduit ignored the tophated person and started shooting into the chest of yarrik

Michael managed to shoot the stunned creature with the shadowgun again.
This time hitting it in the chest at point-blank range.
The magic of the shadowgun tore the creatures soul from its body as it exploded into a bloody pulp.

Tophat grunts when the shots hit, and blows the conduits head away with a shot from the bolter.

"Man. down!" Tophat says as it falls to its knees.

Michael crawled back into cover and then absorbed the extracted soul with the shadowmask, healing most of his wounds.
