"You got a problem, tin man?" Jin said standing up and bringing up Ashura. As he did it lit aflame, but the flame was different from his usual one. This one was black rather than blue.

OOC: Gonna leave too, got my last final in an hour. I'll be back with 0 finals left for my undergrad years. :)

<color=brown>"If you'll excuse us. We just... need some time to think to ourselves."

"That is unfortunate." AEanna replied to Caim. Retuning her attention to Jin she said.
"Then I shall. Meanwhile, just try not to lose hope." She rose to her feet as Jin confronted Caim and stood ready to intervene if it was called for.

OOC: Good luck Slenn.

Tophat tried to move inside the soul gem, but started to feel sucked in.
Dammit!
It pulled itself out and stood up.
"No use, I can't go in there without getting caught myself. It is pitch black inside and there are no walls or floor!"
It sighs.
"Look, the problem is that even if I find him, I've got no way to get myself out again."
It sat down with the soul gem in hand.

Lysandros nearly reacted but Caim calmed him with a raised hand. He removed his helmet. He had one milky eye and side burns, his hair was dark brown and receding. His nose was scarred and his face haggared yet he bore to makings of a smile across his lips. He taps the side of his head. "Not tin last time I checked."

OOC: Random, if I'm correct in assuming that Jort is rolling with the Orks Retribution ending that means their flying around in the Judgement of Carrion. A Space Hulk, converted by the orks into a Kruzer. Space Hulks are ship wreckages, constructs etc that drift with horrors lurking aboard for centuries. The Orks have took the Judgement and Orked it up. Guns everywhere and Power Field in layers around the ship. Space Hulks can range from about a city in size to the size of a medium sized moon. Obviously the Judgement isn't that big because Jort keeps flying it over our heads but the thing is incredibly formidable.

OOC: I actually have a plan for dealing with the orbital bombardment. One that I'm going to use to put the fear of god into everyone. For purposes of plot, of course.
@Slenn: Good luck!

"Must you antagonise him?" AEanna snapped at Caim. "You have lost your brothers-in-arms just recently as well, and now you mock ours? Such behaviour is unbecoming of a warrior!"

"Well, excuse me. I didn't mean to insult you. Please forgive me for my transgressions." Jin mocked the Space marine.
Jin looks at AEanna. "I really don't care what you do." He turns and begins walking away from the group. "Do what you want. I have better things to do."

OoC: Small note about the black flame. It's not as hot as the blue one, but it is supernatural in other ways. It doesn't stop burning until it burns everything it touches. And it can't be extinguished.

Caim looked at AEanna. "I must have not realised I was mocking anyone, for that was not my intention."

OOC: Added bits on Jortz ship in last post. Tries to show human side of Space Marines...people assume I'm mocking them -sigh-

OOC: @Ven I had a look at the typical stats for Ork kruzers. Now obviously I don't know about the Judgement of Carrion itself, but the 40K lexicanum says that Ork Kruzers are typically between 1 and 3km in length. If the Judgement of Carrion is anywhere near those size parameters, then it isn't that much bigger than Harbinger. And even if it was, Ork tech versus Reaper tech? That can't be a fair match.

AEanna sadly watched Jin go, then looked back at Caim.
"I understand. I am sorry, we just... we have all suffered greatly at the hands of Regulus for a long time, and now one of our friends may be condemned to a fate worse than death. It is hard to maintain a positive attitude at this point."

"The only fate I know of worse than death." Caim began, standing up and putting his helmet back on. "Is life without honour." Lysandros nodded. "I'm going to check on the Sergeant and Gordian." Lysandros said and strode away.

OOC: I'm not doubting the Reapers tech but I'm not underestimating Orks either. Several reasons it could put up a fight. Power Fields, differant from Kinetic Barriers of Mass Effect verse, these are just layers of energy that shield the ship even against all attacks unlike Imperial Void Shields however they recharge extremely slowly. Bristling with weapons but I doubt they'll do much to a Reapers shield but they'll wear it down in time (maybe). The Judgement of Carrion was Imperium made and abandoned and is much sturdier than an Ork scratch build vessel. In fact Orks steal and Orkify alot of other races ships and vehicles.

AEanna shook her head as Caim and Lysandros walked away.
"What a compassionate pair."

OOC: Hmm. Well, in terms of armament, I'd say the Reapers have nothing much to fear. Sovereign held out against an entire fleet for a long time before its kinetic barriers went down. Harbinger is older, larger and more powerful, and has four Destroyers to assist. The Orks only have one ship, even if it is packing more guns than any one vessel in ME. The Reapers too have devastating weaponry, but for all I know, maybe the Ork Kruzer's power fields are strong enough to hold them off. If it is that much bigger, it would also be able to take a pounding, but the Reaper weapons would be more than capable of delivering that pounding. I don't know. Perhaps the Reapers woudn't be able to bring the Judgement down, but I suspect they'd be able to force a stalemate

Oh, also the Reapers are meant to be very maneuvarable for their size, so would have the edge in tactics and such. That and the fact that they have millions of years of combat experience.

OOC Yeah Ork fleets are abysmal they usually just a means to get from world to world. Eldar, Imperial and Necrons have the best fleets. Also the Judgement is fucking huge, just found a pic (I never finished DoW 2 Retribution and never got Chaos Rising so I've never seen the Judgement.)

Caim had watched Jin leave before turning to follow Lysandros.

AEanna sat cross-legged on the ground and leaned forward, brooding on the situation. After a while, she decided there was nothing she could do for now, and taking another chunk of wood that she had scavenged out of her satchel, she drew Mehrune's Razor and started to carve.

OOC: I need to try and repair my tac-vest, so I'm going to head off for now.

Gordian finished extracting the Gene-seeds. "The bodies will return with me." He said. Tarks nodded as Gordian activated the return teleportation and began dissapearing with the two bodies. "Emperor be with you Brother Sergeant." Tarkus answered with "And he with you" Before motioning to the two marines and leading them away from the ship.

OOC: I'm off to a wedding for a couple of days.

OOC: Howdy folks. Doesn't look like many people are on, so I think I'll just lurk for the time being.
