Sheathing her weapons, unbuckling them and laying them aside, AEanna got a stick of her own and faced Tophat, taking up a stance. Remembering the speed and agility with which Tophat had moved the first time she elected not to go on a full offensive, instead planning an evasive and defensive strategy that would tire him, and maybe unbalance and frustrate him.
Four landed a decent distance from the group, not wanting to accidentally kick up any sand at anyone as she landed. She walked over to see what everyone was up to after dismissing her IS mech.
Rose looked around for a trashcan and didn't find one on the beach. She sighed as she realized she'd have to keep the torn up paper with her until the group decided to go into the city again.

Her stick held in a loose one-handed grip in front of her with her left hand ready to brace it, AEanna was easily able to parry the stab with a flick of her wrist before countering with a short chop at Tophat's bicep, leaving her with ample time and balance to avoid or deflect his next blow.
AEanna skipped back nimbly to avoid the blow, her stick snapping out at Tophat's wrist as she went.
Laguna winced. "Imagne a brick wrapped in lead falling outta the sky onto your forhead. Think I slept through some of it though, it's faded pretty fast." He walked over to Four. "Can I ask you something?"
Laguna lowered his voice. "Look... I remember what I said last night, to you and Tanner. It turn out okay?"
"You are quite a swordsman." AEanna remarked to Tophat as she began to mirror his circling motion. "Where did you learn to wield a blade so effectively?"

Four's mood turned somber as she started thinking about what to tell Laguna. She let out a sigh as she started to paraphrase what happened last night to Laguna. "He asked me how I felt about Mia, I told him I loved her. Then he asked how I felt about him, and I told him I loved him. Then he asked if we could be together, just me and him, and I told him I couldn't just leave Mia. Then I told him to take care of himself and left."
AEanna reacted to Tophat's change in direction but did not attack, waiting for him to make an opening.
"Gothenburg, I do not know the city. There must be so many in this world, and they are all amazingly different. I take it you travel a lot?"

Laguna was quiet for a moment. "I'm breaking a promise here, but... it's better for everyone. Back in Rome, a little while before we left, he actually talked to me about you. He said that he couldn't keep it casual, that he either had to make it serious or break it off, and asked me for what to do. I told him ask you about it, see what you said, then maybe ask Mia about it later." He sighed. "I told him to do what he did last night, and it was the wrong thing to do. I'm sorry to him, and you, and Mia, that it didn't work out."
