OoC: @Saltyk I was kind hoping to stretch it out a bit longer, but this has worked pretty well, probably better than if it was a long plot thread. Just tossing up wether Nu should show up again sometime as an antagonist, with the permission of you guys, of course.

i jump backwards and fall into the pool, i try to surface franticly

What happened in the next nanosecond would have startled even particle physicists. Winona sent out a Z0 shot at Pilus' hand to deflect the blow.... however it aimed at the wrong spot and shot at Pilus' wrist instead.

The nanosecond before the knife was about to touch, it dug into her dress, and Pilus' hand flew away from the Z0 knockback letting go of the dagger just after it had went straight into her chest. However since the dress was supposed to deflect piercing rounds like bullets, the knife had more mass than the bullets and knocked her out.
