Laura doesn't respond to Sniper's 'what' but keeps the radio near her, simply watching the night go back. It's only been like 3 days ago when she and Charlotte were to talk about international treaties... and now Charlotte is gone.

"This thing is supposed to be a radio? I must not have recognized it because it's so obsolete. My Pip-boy here functions as a radio." He said to Michael as he fiddled with the dials on his Pip-boy and heard Sniper's transmission from it.

Jio ignores Laura's grunting response and starts gathering some wood from the destroyed structure and places it in a pile. "Got anything to start a fire with?" he asks her.

Laura quickly materializes the right arm of Weissritter, activating the plasma beam sabre, which lits the wood on fire

"Thanks!" Jio says as he smiles at Laura. "Those machines of yours are really useful." He picks up a sliver of the wreckage and prods the fire with it. "Sure has been a while since I had a campfire." Jio stares into the fire.

Reginald saw the mood that Laura was in, and the particular way in which she set the wood on fire, and said, "I...think I'm gonna go help Sniper scout out the area." He runs after Sniper.

Jio sat at the fire and continued to prod it. He thought about asking her what she was talking about, but wasn't sure how she would take it right now. He decided to let her volunteer the information. "I'll listen if you want to talk."
