Charlotte closes her eyes, trying to think. She then looks back at Four; Charlotte's purple eyes shinning. "You did the right thing, but Tanner. I guess he's been alone for a long time, perhaps for too long. I guess he was just looking for someone in life, so he could find a reason for living again. But he has all of us. I just don't understand why he can't see that in his heart, despite him preaching things like this..."

I'm getting annoyed at Laura now, so I stand. "You know what I hate more than anything else in the world? People who act like they have all the answers. Those are all assumptions you've made about me, and a good portion of them are wrong. I don't dread the future, I welcome it. I'm sorry if my behavior says otherwise, in your eyes." I say to her sternly.

Jin cleans up the kitchen and leaves to find a comfortable place to sleep for the night. He pulls out his Sudoku book, but finds that he has solved every puzzle in it. "I guess it is the end of the world..."

Laura's glare becomes more intense, as her Void powers start building up. Her hair lifts slightly. "Oh really? You trying to escape the fact that you are alone and isolating yourself because of that doesn't make you any better. You don't dread the future? Then why bother trying to have relationships with anyone here? As a doctor, you are only to keep a patient-doctor relationship with them, and that's all. Be a soldier then, you know how cheap life is, especially our own."

Laura's hair tossed and turned in all directions, as her eyes both turned golden, piercing into Tanner's soul. The tentacled masses all glared into Tanner, forcing him to relive Four's rejection and her slap on his face. Laura's voice boomed around Tanner's head, filled with sounds of Tanner's squad dying, their last emotions forced into his skull, leaving imprints of death...
