Regulus focused on extracting the energy it absorbed from the Mason girls and syphoned into the Soul Gem at the centre of the machine.
Once it processed the energy, the machine began humming louder.

"Four... there is no need to apologise. I understand. You had just lost Asha, and you feared for your newborn children all the more. I had just been revealed to be something that you had only ever heard of as a nightmarish monster. Your suspicions were reasonable, even if they were misplaced.
