Hmm. After a long stretch of field work on Mull, I thought I might prepare to return to the RP, on a less continuous basis for now. But now I find that its been marked as closed? Does this mean closed to old players from the first thread as well, or just to players who haven't been involved til now?
OOC: Ah hello Random, might be best to wait until next Arc or something. I have an idea for one but its a tad combat heavy and Im trying to even it out. It seems to be closed but its Trillby's thread so its his decision.

@Random: It was really just to control the flocks of people because it was halting the plot with introductions and filling people in and them not knowing what's going on. It was really just to keep us moving steadily, but it doesn't seem to be working...

I'm happy enough to wait. I have a small selection of characters planned who would be well suited for combat heavy stuff, but one is a team similar to the Deltas, and the other is generally considered massively OP (though maybe not as OP as Joel or that Neo Granzon thing.) so I don't know if they fit in with Trilby's new rules.
I also have a ready made arc, but again, that requires some heavy hitters, and I'll hold it off until such a time that no one else has an arc ready. Meanwhile, I'm working, and I'll drop in to see what the story is.

OoC: @Berk Dude, our thread so far has had a cyborg version of Alex Mercer, some SPEES MEHRENS, some mini-mechas, Wesker, the bad guy from inFamous, a stickman that can draw most anything and the god of trolling. I dont think you have to worry about trying to make your characters fit in.

In a tranquil area of flat land, green grass and hedgerows, a rabbit was nibbling some grass. Suddenly its ears folded back and it went rigid, listening to some electrical crackling sound from an unseen sources. Sparks of lightning and flames began to spit from a point in the air over it, expanding and contracting. The rabbit bolted, but before it had gone more than five feet, the anomaly expanded explosively with a deafening roar, incinerating the land around for half a kilometre. When the debris cleared, a hudled figure could be seen in the centre of the crater.
Galen climbed unsteadily to his feet. In his head he could hear a distant ominous voice, punctuated by arrythmic, mechanical breathing from a damaged respirator.
"He is dead." And the voice was answered by another, reedy and sibilant with malice.
"Then he is now more powerful than ever." The voices faded away, and Galen paid attention to his surroundings. His robes and armour were shattered, torn and scorched, but when he checked his utility belt, everything was in place. Climbing to the lip of the crater, he glanced all around. Way off in the distance, he saw a large estate, and could sense the presence of several individuals within.

A Schwarzer Hase radio transmittion interrupts the two sparring.
"Commander? A impact crater has appeared close to the facility. Shall we investigate?"
Could it be one of Kessler's thugs? thinks Laura.
"All units, converge and meet up there. Charlotte and I will be there first."
The girls boost off towards the impact crater....

As Galen climbed out of the crater, he saw two spots of light lift off from the estate and fly up into the air, befor converging on his position. As they came close, he realised that they were two miniscule, but powerful looking aircraft.
"Oh, I'm really not in the mood for this now." He groaned, before turning and sprinting for the nearest intact hedgerow with astonishing speed. Crouching amongst the bushes, he watched the machines approach, noting with interest that they had a humanoid shape.

They looked capable of handling themselves, but he doubted they would be a significant threat to him, despite his injuries and fatigue. Sweeping back the tattered remains of his cloak, he stepped out into view. His palms were opened and held outwards, though he knew that if they were hostile, he could draw and activate the cylindrical hilt at his belt faster than a normal human could react.
