Mass and weight are separate things. A 5kg weight moving at 1m/s vs one going at 4875943758347349875439874387439874 m/s, are completely different.

50N/(9.8m/s)=5.and some odd kgs

Basically you don't have enough Newtons.

[HEADING=3]And My post[/HEADING]

Joe reached into his pocket and charged the 'Mass Effect Medallion', creating extra distance for two Orks on opposite sides of Joe. Joe then ran straight for a third ork, which allowed him to dodge the fourth swing. As the blade came down on him, he lifted his hand and created a 2D edge on the blade.

As Joe was cut in half, he managed to scribble something on the back of the third ork's head. Becoming whole again, because Joe can't be harmed by 2D weapons, Joe's brain asked. "What did you write?"

Joe replied. "C4 yourself!" As the Ork's head exploded.

OoC: Basically if you numbered a square in a circular pattern 1,2,3,4. Joe slowed down 1 and 3. Ran to 2, and because he moved to 2, 4 will miss.

Ya I was going to comment on that too.

50N is a 5and change kilogram weight falling for one second of acceleration. Definitely nothing.
Well, getting hit by a hammer weighing 5 KG must hurt, right?
Find the orc's change in velocity over time (from the hammer swing): ∆v/∆t and multiply that number by the orc's mass. THAT is the force delt to the orc.

Also, the force delivered to the orc is NOT equal to the weight of the hammer.

Reginald parries two of the orks with his machetes and kicks the third in the gut, halting its charge and causing it to bend over. He uppercuts the same ork he kicked, shredding most of its head with a flurry of buckshot from his Ballistic Fist.

Alright, how would 500N's hurt?

Doctor Com knocks the swords from the orks hands and start to hit the orks with 500N of force. Then he pulls out his Iproduct and starts blaring this song, just to confuse the other orks.

OOC: If the orc weighs a good 200 kg (pretty hefty), and goes from 0 to 3 m/s in under 0.1 seconds of contact time with the hammer then...

∆v/∆t = 3(m/s) / 0.1 (s) = 30 m/s^2. Times the mass of the orc: 30*200 kg deals 6000 N. There you go.

I concur! btw, what's the command to get delta's Slenn?

OoC: It's Ok, Outis! Maybe later I'll play a scientist guy who'll talk about that kind of stuff all the time.

Although now that I think of it, that's only accounting for the Ork's contribution to the impact. You also have to account for Wacky's swing as well.

OoC: currently doing triple science GCSE in Seondary school/i think later parts of Middle school for you americans, and im studying physics at the moment so i carnt compare to zeph or sel but im still pretty good at science
Edit did you use the triangle shape instead of a X or is it a scientifical turm
ALSO you cant make science go away, it will keep bouncing bak like a bouncy thing

OOC: Well, I'm using a Mac, so what I'm doing is "option"-"J". Don't know what you have to do for a PC.

Jio dodged to the side as the Cave troll brought down it's giant club. His movements could barely be called human. They were more like a beast. He leaped onto the club and ran down it and up the arm of the troll which tried to strike him with it's other arm, but was too slow. He leaped to it's shoulder and then kicked off knocking the behemoth off balance, and ran a short distance before he skidded to a stop as he changed his direction and stance.

The white mist rose from his body and channeled into his O-Part. Initiate Effect. Jio threw his O-Part at the giant cave troll and it's arm was sliced off. As the beast turned to look at him, he charged it and kicked it in the head knocking it back while jumping up from there. His O-Part returned to him and his Spirit began to rise once more. Initiate Effect. Maximum Spirit! Jio, still in mid air, brought his hand up and down in a fluid motion, "Jio Spike!" The attack created a giant whirlwind that was much more focused than his Mars Stinger and shredded the giant creature.

OoC: i think i beat the guy curling into a ball at the thought of this, i currently have a GCSE in maths, and i think one in science, but i only just started doing degrees
Edit:like the old saying goes. if you carnt take the algeric equations stay out of the escapist roll-playing forum... i think

OOC: @Silver. Delta or the "triangle" means "change in". Example: ∆v means "change in velocity".

OOC: Oh but Physics is fun! Where else can you have a question about baby cannons and placing nets to save them?! I had a really weird Physics TA.

@Salty: You better believe it was!
