Jio enters the makeshift warehouse and safe-house that he was staying in, and noticed that the children weren't out in the open. He looked in the old office and found them asleep on some cots he had set up for them.

Reginald saw Knife jump off the building and tried to catch him. As Knife landed on Reginald's sturdy metal arms his spine snapped at the base of his skull and he was killed. Reginald shrugged and tossed the body aside before following Jio and Joe to the warehouse.

"It's fine." Joe quickly draws himself a hammock from the ceiling, in an 'out of the way' area. "Thanks Jio, wish I could help you more."

Reginald took in a deep breath and told his story.
Reginald sighed and knocked back a drink from his flask.
"Didn't have much for family. My mother died when I was born and my dad spent nearly all his time keeping the Vault working. Most of the time it was like he wasn't even there. And the Vault never felt like a home. The metal walls, tight spaces, lack of privacy, inability to leave. Reminded me of those 'prisons' I read about in books. Never had many friends either. Only person who seemed to really care was Amata, and I suspected she only hung around with me because he father was the Overseer and no one else liked being around her because of that. Then my dad left and that sorry excuse for a home was taken from me. I had to leave because the Overseer was threatening my life. I was 19 years old when I was thrust into the irradiated hell-hole of what was left of Washington D.C. where everyone is either looking to kill you or use you like a tool and throw you away."
