I'm pretty sure everyone is set on the 'use them as gravestones' idea. Leaving them in graves that are both shallow and unmarked seems a little...disrespectful. Laguna would probably let you keep their tags if you asked him for them. Also, while that rage could be considered entirely justified, it's still a little too much for my taste.

Joe hopped into the hole, not making a sound as he dug with Knife. His face was darkened, it could have just been a shadow because of the lighting, but Knife couldn't see Joe's eyes. When they finished, Joe climbed out of the hole and made his way slowly over to the nearest tree and climbed it. The tree was still covered in leaves even through the blast.
