Varger had watched most of the events that had occured, including the IS new attacks. No-one had ever used Nidhogg before, it was still in the testing phase, so combat with them would fall to that system. He notices Knife is back with the group and stands up seething with the desire to kill.

Meanwhile, Knife leans on the hood of his (stolen) car, rubbing his eyebrows in frustration at the groups current shenanigans.

Dromaeus finished whittling the tusk, which had taken the shape of a miniature shrine to Talos, and slipped it into his satchel. Looking up at a number of seagulls flying overhead, he jumped out of the tree and unslung his bow, nocked an iron arrow, and fired at one of the birds.

 

[Knife-28]

Knife looks up just in time to see a bird get shot by an arrow. The bird struggles in vain to keep airborn, and finally gives up, plummeting groundward only to hit the hood of Knife's car, startling him and leaving quite a sizable dent.

Dromaeus hummed in satisfaction at his excellent shot, and approached Knife to retrieve his kill.

Tearing his gaze away from the fallen fowl and towards to sound of approaching footsteps Knufe sees...
"Hey, Dromaeus wasn't it? Fancy seeing you here." He says.

 

[Random berk]

"Ah, yes. I remember you from the human military officer's flying machine. Knife, I believe." Dromaeus picked up the dead gull and ripped the arrow out with a wet tearing sound.
"This will make a fine meal. Tell me, whatever happened to the great war that threatened to consume the world when I left?"

"Eh, the same way any great adventure goes, the bad guys lost, the good guys won and rode into the sunset. Well, teleported back to their own dimensions, but you get the idea." Knife says, before peeking back at the car. "Damn, that bird did a number on it." He mutters, looking at the great dent in the hood.

"Will that damage affect the machine's ability to move?" As he spoke, AEanna approached, looking at the car with curiosity.
"What sort of machine is this? It has wheels like a carriage, but I see no horses. Is it driven by magic?"

With the sound of whirls and clicks, Charlotte and Laura woke up, their bodies still adjusting to the synthesis. Today would be another day for testing the Acier Beowulf and Rein Weissritter.

They quickly donned new clothing and deployed their disguises. "This feels wrong..."

Laura nodded. "I know."

They both stepped outside as Luitgard and Claire, deploying their IS mechs and began for a morning sparring session taking off into the skies above Rome...

"Uh, one sec." He says, opening the drivers side door and getting in. After a few false starts, the engine comes to like, and Knife steps out of the car. "Dosn't look like it, still, it's a shame 'cause this is a nice car."

AEanna shrank back from the car in fright as the engine suddenly roared, while Dromaeus stood with his arms folded, running a critical eye over the car's sleek lines.
"Hmm. If you say so. I know little of these vehicles."

 

[Knife-28]

"Yes, I wouldn't think you'd have much in the way of automobiles in Skyrim." Knife says lightheartedly, before looking at AEanna. "Friend of yours I presume?" Knife says to Dromaeus.

The girls end their sparring session and hover over to Knife and Dromaeus, listening to their conversation.

"She is my apprentice." Dromaeus said. "A mage. She is still a novice, but has some talent, and her magic can be useful at times."
AEanna smiled brightly at Knife, though still keeping a wary eye on the car.
"AEanna Lif Ame of Summerset Isle. Pleased to meet you!" As she spoke, Dromaeus kept a mistrustful eye on the hovering mechs.

A rapid beeping was heard from the Beowulf IS. Claire and Luitgard looked at each other, nodded.

"We'll be taking our leave."

They boosted into the air, and flew off towards the coast, back to the Kantaku....
