OOC: Faelon is divided into two types: active and reactive. When active Faelon comes into contact with matter it converts it into reactive Faelon. Passage through a Null field attuned right can make a Faelon Particle active which allows formation of Reactive Faelon around it into: armour, weapons and such. I'm still working on a weakness for it so he could probably find that out. Faelon is durable, mallable and non-conductive of heat or electricity.

OOC: So if I understand correctly, if Renlen were to succeed in replicating the Faelon it wouldn't be active as it wasn't powered at the time of replication and if he were to substitute it into a suit of Spartan Power Armour then it still would be inactive, correct? But if that suit came into contact with a Null field such as the one usually hanging around Varger then the Faelon would become active and would allow the formation of Reactive Faelon right?

OOC: Sorry but I'm an ardent hater of romance, I can make my characters feel it because they arent me but personally as a development feature in novels and films it makes the characters flat and predictable the second they succumb. The Harry Potter films were alright until everyone started falling in love around the 5th movie. Made every interaction after that predictable and bland. Thats just how I feel anyway.

OOC: In a sense. The Null Field around Varger isn't attuned to making Faelon active, the ones next to his Faelon resevoirs are. If somehow replicated then if it was fixed into armour it would just make the armour more durable as Renlen doesn't have the resevoirs or system that allows Faelon to shape itself. E.g Varger creating a Shard Pistol, he selcts the sub-routine in his mind and the AI processes this, releasing an Active Particle from the palm of his hand which is then suspended while Reactive Faelon is appears from dispensers in his upper arm and begins to form into the Shard Pistol.

But because it's looked at as predictable, that lets you do all sorts of interesting things! Granted most works of fiction do follow the same formula, but, like with just about everything, if it's handled in a new and interesting (and well done) way, I think romance can be a very rewarding thing in a story. But that's just me.

OOC: Not sure whether to jump in with Michael as well of just watch. Slenn, I can roll with romance if its in character but thats why every character i've played while RPing is either: a misoginist, too cool for women, too chivilrous to think of other women, not bothered by them etc.
