Laguna sighed. "Fine, fine. Just take it." He lowered his gun, reaching into his back pocket... and pulled out a sticky bomb, arming it and sticking it to Varger's chest, then sprinted away.
"But he's the one that made Berethor have all these problems..." Joe said to EMily who was giving him the disappointed look.

Varger looks down at the sticky bomb and grabs it, wrenching it from his chest only to have it blow up in his arm, destroying the limb and sending him flying, smashing through the wall of a building.
"The girls are right. Life is just more than just the freelancing, mercenary jobs, and killing you've been involved in. You've been exploring only a tiny aspect of it. Life can grant you those things, but there's far more out there. You have so many chances to evolve and you don't see it."

Coincidentally, the wall Varger crashed through was the wall Berethor was sitting near. As he looked through the hole, Berethor saw Varger and his temper flared. "You gain." he growled dangerously as he redyed his sword and shield.
Jio ran to and stopped Laguna, "Stop! Varger didn't attack us, yet. We could have talked him through this. There was no need to attack him."

Varger clambers out of the hole he made in the building, his right arm slowly rebuilding the Faelon framework before it could regrow is flesh and bones. His face was charred and his jaw hung by one joint, leaving his tongue dangling as tiny wires flailed about in the opening. He raises his left hand and fires the Faelon Lance from his hand, the spear travelling at the speed of a bullet. He aimed for Laguna, just to pin him.
