AEanna had gone for a walk. She was still feeling strange, and the glare of the sun was getting almost intolerable. Squinting, she carried on, and had soon walked right off of the beach. Finding a large fountain with some ornate sculptures at the top, she decided to drink some water. As she did so, she froze. The fountain was turned off and the water was smooth and reflective. She could see the reflection of the sculptures and the clouds overhead... but that was all. Her own reflection was absent. She covered her facewith her hands, thinking the sun was messing with her vision, but when she looked again, there was no change. Her mind raced. What was happening? Then, something came back to her. An old story one of her professors at the College of Winterhold had told her. A creature who abhorred the sun, who cast no reflection and no shadow in artificial light, and which could steal away the souls of others to feed itself. She gasped in horror.
"Oh, Divines..." Running her tongue over her teeth, she knew what she would find. Still small, but sharp nonetheless, her canines had lengthened into nedlelike fangs.
Dromaeus stumbled along with the group.
"By the Divines... my head... it hurts to live."
