Joe dogpiled EMily with a hug. "So am I..." Joe said, he smiled but he too looked a little troubled.
Doctor com smiles, "Well, imagine this tree is time. The base is your moment when you come into exsistance, in your case, the moment your egg was fertilized. From there, anything that happends causes changes, in our case, we call them 'offshoot timelines.' These timelines are ones that are similar to your own timeline, and the person is that timeline is you, but different. Did that make sense?"

We started talking while I was still in Reggie's head and we hit it off. Then our friend, the magical talking psychic Tophat, you'll probably meet him later, helped me move out of Reggie's head and into a body. The body of her now ex-girlfriend who tried to kill me back when we were sharing, I think I should add." Four said to Kokonoe.

"What is your biggest fear? Take that, and multiply it by a thousand. The Void is something that stares back at you, reflecting whatever you see in yourself, what you were, what you are, and what you will become. All I saw was death for everybody. The GOD had infused us with the alternate memories of evil IS pilots. I remember all the things she did, how she felt, and why she did it. I understood her... And I punished myself as I almost lost myself in that memory, all the emotions she had, all the experiences that I thought I misses, she HAD. I...I feel lost Laguna... All of the IS pilots feel this way now... Even Laura, though she won't admit it."

Laguna stood up. "You're not lost, you never were. That GOD thing tried to break you, but you're still here. You stood up to him. You beat him, you won! Give yourself a pat on the back. No need to worry about it."
Kokonoe stood slack-jawed for a moment, then dropped the notebook and pen. "Lambda, did you get Four's story?"

"Send that to the Sector Seven memory banks. I'm gonna need to look over it a couple hundred times."

She didn't know if Charlotte could hear what she said next, as the speech was intended for Jio and the others. "That still sounds like nothing special. The ruins of many civilizations that tried so hard to defend themselves against the dark being that consumed them. The corpses of billions of lives telling me 'This is what will happen to Earth if you do not succeed.' 'This is what happens if you make a mistake.' 'This is what will happen to you if you give up.' That burden was strong enough, and I took that responsibility of defending Earth and other civilizations as well as my sisters. And I took it with all my strength and will. And many other people have some terror in their lives that teaches them a lesson once in a while and it seems like it's the most important thing ever. But we all learn that, while it is scary, it is only another lesson we must learn from and get over."
Joe looked over at Jio, doing the gesture where you put your index fingers together and push them together a bit. Joe nodded, his face gave everything away, he was still guilty for not coming to help Shepard when she needed him most.
Four looked over at Charlotte and the rest and said, "Geeze. I'm glad no one invited me to Bummer-Fest over there." She looked at Kokonoe and said, "I knew you'd like it."

This is...a messed up group. I don't think a fully trained combat psychologist would be able to handle all this, at least not in a timely fashion, and I'm not exactly trained...I better be careful with what I say.

Fugin created the Sword of ZERO that what used to slay the GOD, but all the did was constrain him. Uranus and Gaia married, but they were cursed to forever guard the seal for the GOD. Their children, the Titans, are the masters of the Multiverse, and they challenge those pure of heart, HEROES, to reforge the Sword of Zero to halt the GOD again... They failed, and now the GOD is unleashed, with the Titans gone... We had to take their place..."[/HEADING] Charlotte starts crying as Laura goes over and hugs her.
