OOC: I'm not gonna get into it, its just one of my pet peeves. Comparing religion and science I find overall religious writing to be more interesting while I find science extremely bland and restrictive, just my personal view I don't get into it I just lost my cool a bit before. OOC: I see where you're coming from. Living in a world where weird shit can genuinely exist and not be explainable would be great. I'd love it if Skyrim,or Pirates of the Caribbean, or any fantasy really, could be based on real things. But unfortunately, that isn't the case. If something is unexplainable in real life, thats usually because somebody is making shit up, or because its too damned complicated and boring to be worth it anyway. If something cool is considered unexplained, then it gets examined, and pretty quickly, an explanation will be found. On the other hand, its progress, my friend. Would you rather that we were confined to our little islands here because we thought there was an endless waterfall a few miles out? Or that people could be burned alive on the off chance that they might be doing some sort of magic?

OoC: I always thought of magic as energy and the ability to manipulate energy. That's the route I'm taking in my book that I may or may not write because it's a good, interesting, plausible source of magic and it allows for a lot of different stuff.
