"That is also correct. There is a version of me and my sisters where we all gave up or never took our interest in physics seriously. One where we failed to learn the magnitude of the dark being's power. It is a curious and also scary thing to think about. There are so many different timelines that could have happened."

"The thing is, that concept is far scarier than you realize. Satan is no mere annoyance. What happens when all in this alternate universe should be absorbed by him? What is to stop him from finding a way into an alternate timeline like mine? Or yours?"

"If such a being of power had existed in my timeline, I bet he would want to take over the universe from the very start if he gained enough power from the previous timeline. He doesn't exist in my timeline nor will he ever because of that contradiction."

"Remember there are an infinite number of timelines in which different possibilities existed. If he were to somehow gain a foothold in another continuity, then he himself would be apart from that timeline. There would be at least one universe where he took over, however there are just as many in which he hasn't. Perhaps there is also something that prevents him from doing so. I don't think that such a thing would be able to contain an infinite amount of power."

"You don't know him like I do. If he discovered such an ability, his goal would not be to absorb as many universe as he could. It would be to absorb all universes, if such a thing were possible, he'd find a way."

"Satan has no concern for anyone, but himself. He kills for convenience. Or sometimes to plant a seed in someone's heart that he can take advantage of later."

@wacky Yeah, he would simply absorb or kill them. About the only thing I think that would be an actual threat to Satan's full power is Rosh's God. And even then, I've already figured out how Satan would negate his powers. So, yeah.

"The fact that there are infinite timelines with several different probabilities proves that he would be unable to transpire over every universe. Think about it this way, if Satan were to seemingly take over 'every' universe, there will always be just as many universes that havn't been taken over just because of the principle of probability that's a critical part of the multiverse theory. And you are forgetting the fact that because of the multiverse theory, there are also universes that succeed in preventing him from taking over."

"This is the first time I've ever experienced multiverse theory at its fullest. Time travel is nothing new to me. But this is something that is certainly astonishing."

"Another way to look at it. Even in succeeding in defeating Satan or any of my other foes, I also failed. This multiverse theory is rather depressing."

"So, if there are infinite universes based on time splits, could there be a 'source universe'? A sort of prime one that all universes split and diverge from? And what would happen if something happened to THAT one?"

"Jio, what you are now realizing is one of the possible core aspects of how a multiverse works. It is certainly one thing that makes one think about the past and future choices he, she, or it will make."

"Jin, you pose something that is very interesting. If such a thing existed I would believe that this source universe where everything originates is perhaps in the mind of a REAL god. A true god. Something of which is never obtainable by any mortal, machine, or demi-god. Something that contains an infinite amount of information and power."

OOC: I'm actually curious, how is defeating Satan a failure for Jio? I forget.

"It does make everything seem pointless, though."

"I'm surprised that a woman of science would refer to a God, EMily. Even still, there's no reason to believe Satan couldn't absorb that God."

"Actually, Satan's power of absorption is based on of gathering knowledge and information. As it was said before, 'knowledge is power'. And it is information that gives the Kabbalah, as well as the demons and angels that formed from it, power."

OoC: Jio was pointing out how based on the multiverse theory, even beating him in his own time, means that there is at least one where he lost.

And honestly, the only reason Jio beat Satan was that during Armageddon the whole world's people were all linked and when Satan tried to convince them all to give into hate, Jio, who himself almost gave in, was able to convince them all to hope, trust, and love. Even then, he had to move the whole thing to another planet to spare the people from being absorbed into the Kabbalah.

Also, what Jio just refernced is the fact that all of the demons and angels were literally formed from information. The Kabbalah is seperated into two halves, with each have containing 10 sephirot. Each of these 20 sephirot gathered so much information that they literraly began to form bodies based on the information that they focused on. The 10 angels and 10 demons are literally formed of information. And the reason Satan is one of the strongest is that his sephirot gathered the most data.

"I wouldn't say our efforts are pointless Jio. I understand what you are saying. Not everything is under our control. But you should focus on the universe you're destined to be in. As well as the other infinite Jio's in the other universes that would succeed in defeating Satan. And as long as I don't know MY destiny, I know I still have a choice."

"Are you sure Jin? This god I think about isn't some manifestation of a human that does things on a whim. It is EVERYTHING and has no form at all. Science cannot determine if there is a god or not. However, Satan would probably be destroyed by trying to challenge the might of infinite information and power. I may not be able to fully understand Satan, but I do understand that infinite information is impossible to obtain or contain."

She got out some sleeping bags for Winona and herself out of the ethereal plane.

"It is your choice to think about this harder, or to let us sleep and let time tell. Or perhaps both. Only the cosmos knows." She winks to both of them.

"Yeah, I know. It's just a sort of depressing thought that there are people out there suffering because of something outside of my control. I always talked about my World Domination. I never wanted to allow people to suffer and always rejected evil in my view of the world and how I would want it to be."

"I admit that I know less about Satan than Jio does, so I can't be certain."

"Demon 1i of the Reverse Kabbalah, Satan, is the Ultimate Memorization Weapon of the Kabbalah. Gathering knowledge and information is not an issue. That is literally his intention. His reason to exist. That is why the Kabbalah exists. I'd say that it wouldn't be a question of whether he could gather the information, but rather whether he could meet this 'God'. Especially if he used the Kabbalah to accomplish this goal."

OoC: Actually knowledge as power is a big theme in the series. It is revealed that the way O-Parts work is based on information. Each O-Part is infused with certain information. For example, Jin's sword, Ashura, is infused with the information for Fire.

OOC: As a side note, that's almost sort of the basis for how these sisters work. Their power is already bound to the forces of nature, however it can only be used if they know how to use it (That's why they're studying all the dang time, as well as myself).
