OOC: As the strange man went down for the count, Dromaeus drew his war axe from his belt and turned to face the horde.
"Where did they come from?"
"I should have heard them arrive. Either they are totally silent while moving, or they got here by magic." AEanna said.

OOC: @Nailik Oh wait, you meant the 'villainous bastard' thing? That was for you.

 

[Chungus]

Six men wearing crimson armour slowly made their way towards the group.
"Smell bblloood... eheheee fresh bloood!"
Each of them drew their longswords.

 

[Kirke]

"I do believe so."
Tophat took a defensive posture.
"Considering the last few days, I would say some trick of Chaos is incoming."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"I think they're cultsists." Laguna aimed at the group. "If you dont want me to fire, say now!"

 

[Random berk]

Dromaeus raised his axe and brought his shield up.
"What are they saying? I cannot make it out." AEanna pricked her ears listening.
"They are not speaking clearly... I think they are saying... they are saying blood! Fresh blood!"
"Cultists indeed then!" Dromaeus snarled, ready to fight. AEanna looked uncertain, but nodded in agreement and drew her katana.

 

[Chungus]

"Ahahahaa! kill! need bloood!"
The men sprinted towards the group.
"Give us blood!"

 

[Kirke]

Tophat opened fire on the closest vampire.
"Open fire!"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"So much for that... Go go go!" Laguna shot at the pack with a full auto spray.

 

[Random berk]

Dromaeus set his shoulder behind Ysgramor and drove it forward, smashing it into the chest of the vampire in front of him and crushing its sword into its chest before slamming his war axe into its skull and ripping it out again, roaring a battle cry as he did so. AEanna meanwhile parried a downward stroke from one of the longswords and gracefully ducked under the vampire's outstretched arm, slicing its leg out from under it before piroetting and lopping its head off as she brought her sword around.

 

[Chungus]

Two of the vampires were hit but Tophat and Laguna's fire but all it seemed to do was further fuel their bloodlust.
"Ahahahahaaa! smell blood bloood!"
The vampire Drom attack fell over. It crawled backwards, pulled the sword out of its chest and made a swipe at his legs.
The vampire AEanna decapitated fell lifeless to the floor, but no blood poured from either its torso or the severed head.

OoC: @All Heads up, these are Legacy of Kain vamps. They can be stunned and wounded by normal damage, but to kill them, you need to throw them in water, burn them, impale them, decapitate them, or destroy the body entierly. And even then, you need to get rid of it's soul afterwards or it becomes a wraith, but you dont need to worry about those unless you go into the land of the dead.

 

[Kirke]

Tophat reloaded the pistol, then stuck its sword through one vampires throat and emptied the pistol clip in his face.
"Bugger off!"

Laguna stopped firing. It seemed to have no effect. He ran forward, threw a sticky bomb, and backpedealed away.

 

[Random berk]

Dromaeus hopped over the swipe at his legs just in time.
"What in blazes? YOL TOR SHUL!!!" He shouted, immolating the prone vampire with a gout of flame from his jaws. He glanced over at the one AEanna had killed.
"Decapitate them!" He then looked at the war axe in his hand. It was not much good for such a purpose.
"Damn you Regulus." He snarled, before sidestepping a strike from another vampire, hacking at its sword arm twice until it came loose, and then whirling around, bashing the vampire to the ground with Ysgramor as it gained momentum from the spin. Straddling the vampire, Dromaeus began frenziedly hacking at its neck, severing it after two or three fast, heavy blows. AEanna was accosted by a fourth vampire which stabbed at her chest, but she neatly flicked its blade aside before lunging forward and running it through. With drawing the blade, she spun and lashed off its head.

[Chungus]

The vampire Tophat impaled made gurgling sounds and made a slice at his chest, it seemed unaffected by the headshots.
The sticky bomb Laguna trew hit the vampire on the chest, it exploded, shattering its armour and blowing its ribcage apart, revealing its still-beating heart. The vampire stumbled backwards a bit before remsuming his charge at Laguna.
Blows from Dromaeus decapitated the vampire and it convulsed before dying. Yet again, no blood poured out of the torse or the head.
The fourth vampire tried to slash AEanna again before dying.

Meanwhile Regulus was watching the battle, cloacked in shadow.
Hmm. It seems the Warp reduced their combat effectiveness to that of wild beasts aswell as their minds.
No matter.

Laguna nearly puked as he saw the heart of his attacker. "Oh god... How are you still..." He almost retched, but he saw his opponent charge. He dodged to the right, then drew his shotgun and blasted both barrels point blank into the mans head.

 

[Kirke]

The slash cut deep, and Tophat groans.
"Bastard!"
It puts itself on the vampires head and quickly takes control, it then starts searching the memories.
The hell is this thing?

OOC: @Nailik How many vampires are we talking about anyway?

AEanna turned to the vampire that Tophat was having trouble with, but as she faced it, something was bothering her. These were not normal cultists, and something about them seemed almost... feral? And why were they not bleeding? How could they survive with such wounds? She tried to put the thoughts out of her mind, noticing that Tophat had taken control of the sixth vampire.

 

[Chungus]

The shot from Laguna blew off a large portion of the vampire's head and it was trown off-balance for a bit. However, it recovered quickly and made a sideways slash at him.
As Tophat puts itself on the vampire's head, it franticly flung its limbs about and knocked it off.
It then jumped on Tophat's body, bit its neck and began sucking the blood out.
The sixth vampire lept at Drom, swinging his sword like a man possesed.
