I finally find what I'm looking for and bring the nondescript boxes over to the table most people are sitting at.

'Tan-man? Hmm...I don't usually like nicknames...' I think. "Well it's a good thing I'm not the only one. I've got a few boards if you all want to play." I say as I point to the other boxes. "I won't say I'm good or bad at it, EMily, more that I'm quite...inconsistent." I say to her as I start setting up the pieces on one board. "I'd be happy to play you, Lambda." I say with a smile.
"Sounds like a challenge I could accept." Jin says.
"Oh God. He's excited about it. Now, you have to bring him some later. He won't stop bugging you."
OoC: I know how to play, but I don't ever play, so I am not very good. I don't know any people of my basic skill level. And people that know how to play generally just murder me. Which is no fun.

OOC: It always seems strange to me when people say they don't know how to play chess. Not sure why. Maybe because I learned it at such a young age. And just like Tanner, I'm not really good or bad, rather I can go from beating everyone in the room several times one day, to losing embarrassingly and repeatedly the next.
