Tarkus looked at Tophat. "We honour and venerate the immortal Emperor. It is our honour to serve in his name. Were you to know of his great deeds, you would feel the same." He was about to continue when he heard the challenge of the Chaos Marines and he and his Marines readied themselves.
Before the Marines reacted to AEanna's views, she heard the sound of the approaching Chaos forces and turned with the others, slightly pleased. It occurred to her that she was not as tactful as she could have been, and assumed that they had not been paying attetnion anyway. Drawing her daggers again, she readied herself to fight unseen.
OoC: How tough is this Chaos Marine Armour, for future reference? Not sure if Laguna's guns or Lambda's blades could get through it.
Crucian grinned. "I brought 25 Marines for you. You must be mad to believe that." He raised a hand dismissing the Marines aside from 5 who remained beside him. "Each of you Blood Ravens will feel the teeth of my Chainsword as you gurgle your futile prayers to your Emperor." He looked impatient. "Which one shall fight me?" Before Tarkus could react Lysandros took the Chainsword from his belt and walked forward. "Lysandros!" Tarkus said but Lysandros couldn't hear him all he saw was the failure of the Space Marines made manifest and he sought to cleanse it. "The boy? The Neophyte? His armour is new and not yet stained with centuries of warfare. I'll change that." He roared and swung for Lysandros who parried the attack and launched one of his own.
OOC: Power Armour is the best protection afforded in the 41st millenium. outmatched only be Terminator armour. Lasers, bullets claws and talons can barely scratch it. Space Marines can walk into a storm of enemy fire and emerge unscathed. Nail, will do.
OoC: Laguna's gun are pretty much modern, save for the Ragnarok and barrier, and Lambda's blades are normal. Though, her summoned swords seem to be pretty tough.
The two Marines dueled for awhile. Loyalist vs Traitor, Selfless vs Selfish, Honour vs Pride. Lysandros was obviously the weaker fighter and Crucian seemed to lazily dodge each swing yet made no effort to punish the young marine.
AEanna could see that the Marine was in difficulty. She returned to the others and became visible again.

The adamantium teeth of Crucian Chainsword bit into the side of Lysandros and he dragged the weapon away. Lysandros groaned and fell to his knees. "Is this it? Is this all the piety you can muster!" Crucian laughed. "Your skull is barely worth taking." He prepared to finish Lysandros when Caim charged him. He grabbed the Chainsword and headbutted Crucian before picking up the Chainsword from the floor and chasing after the Chaos Marine. "This is more like it. Come Brother! Show me your fury." Crucian said as he attacked back. The two bitter enemies swung at eachother and the angry roar of Chainsword swings cut into the air.
