"I may have an idea but...I've been wanting to ask, does anyone know if you can have more than one soul in a single gem?" I ask the group after exiting the ship and rejoining them.

 

[Drakmorg]

"Maybe try rubbing the Key up against the soul gem for a really long time." Rose suggested to Sara.
Rose flipped through her black notebook, looking for information it wouldn't be against the rules to share. "AEanna would know about that sort of thing more than me, but I don't think so." She said to Tanner.

 

[Saltyk]

"I don't know, Sara. I could try doing what I was before. I activated the Key of Solomon's fire effect before. And I put the Soul Gem on it. Maybe that would cause a reaction. Even one we can't see." Jin nods at Eddie. "I agree. This is bad."

OoC: @Nail So, is Regulus still gonna be impatient with Satan's lack of progress on absorbing the world? XD

OOC: @Slenn: This is sort of cheating on my part (in my opinion) but the girls could bring up the fact that TopHat felt like he was being drawn into the gem when he tried to contact Jio, at least I think that's what happened. I would consider that to be evidence that you could have more souls in the one gem.

Eddie sits down on the edge of the stage.
"Man, this sucks..." He closes his eyes and sighs.
"Right... time to follow my own advice: Think positive thoughts.
We're not dead yet, Satan doesn't know where exactly the other demon dudes are, and we still got the stone and the Key of Solo-whatever..." Eddie opened his eyes again.
"Why is it called a key anyway? Does it unlock something?"

<color=brown>"Then let it be done!" Sara said, her voice booming with command. She grabbed both the soul gem and the key of Solomon from the ethereal plane and handed them over to Jin.
<color=brown>"Do what you must."

 

[Slenn]

"There is a slight probability that you might be able to store more than one soul in the gem. TopHat once tried to put in one third of his soul into it to contact Jio, but he was barely able to pull himself back out."

 

[Drakmorg]

Rose sat down next to Eddie on the edge of the stage. "Don't worry. If this doesn't work I'm sure we can figure out something that will." She gave Eddie as sincere a smile as she could muster.

"...Well in that case...I don't really have an idea to get Jio out of the gem, but...I'd like to see if I can go in after him." I say to the group as I stroke my beard in thought.

 

[Saltyk]

"Honestly I don't know why it is called that. I didn't even know it's name until I was told a few days ago. But it was in Jio's hand up until now, so he might be able to tell us when we get him back." Jin says to Eddie as he takes the Key and Soul Gem from Sara.

He sets the Key of Solomon on the ground and places the Soul Gem on top of it, before he begins to channel his Spirit into the O-Part to cause the fire effect to initiate and create a blue flame.

Inside the Soul Gem, Jio sees the light from before. He had been going in the wrong direction slightly, but it was still closer than it had been before, so he corrected himself and kept traveling towards it.

OoC: We should add Deal with the Devil to the trope page. Probably as an adverted trope or something. Not really sure how this situation would be described.

"Back to being self-destructive, eh?
What makes you think that once you go in, you can come back out again?
And how do you plan on getting in there in the first place?" Eddie asked Tanner.

OoC: I should probally point out that Regulus filled the Gem with Warp energy before putting Jio in it.

Roland sits next to him, "It's true. We'll find something out."

I look at Eddie, and sit down next to him, "Your a main character, he's one too! You'll find a way."

OoC: My plan for this involves tricking Satan. Shhh. I didn't say anything about that, though.

"I'm sure someone here will find a way to get him out. And this is the way I see it: Jio is our best, perhaps only, chance of defeating Satan. Who knows what the inside of that gem is like. Even if we can get him out, he may not be in the proper mental condition to be of any help. If I go in I might be able to help keep him sane. As for getting in there...I imagine TopHat would be the man to talk to...and if he can't help...there is always the 'normal' way of getting a soul into a gem." I say to Eddie.

 

[Chungus]

Eddie looked at wacky and raised an eyebrow.
'The fuck is he talking about? He shrugged and turned back to Tanner.
"'The 'normal way?' What is normal about plucking a soul from a body and putting it in a piece of rock? Really, do tell, 'cause I don't get it."

"I was referring to the process of killing someone with an enchanted weapon to get a soul into a gem." I say, a dead serious expression adorning my features.

I think for a moment, and just wait.
Roland looks at Tanner, "That... seems fairly stupid."
