Rose woke up and went through her usual morning routine aboard the Roseland. She zapped back to the stage. Seeing that most everyone else was inside Tanner's ship, she decided to stay on the stage and work on writing some songs for the band.

OOC: Point taken. And this is one of the reasons that I stay away from 40K.

Leaving the shade of Tanner's ship, AEanna went to join the others.

Lysandros remained beside Caim, ever vigilant over his injured brother.

Tarkus walked through the rubble strewn streets with steely determination in his eyes. he headed towards where the Heretics were confirmed to hold. A large arena.

Joel stares at Conall, mouth agape. "The fuck are you doing?"
TT: Bro.
TT: I know what you're planning, bro.
TT: It doesn't seem like a good idea.
TT: Bro.

Sara clasped her hands together and her eyes seemed to sparkle as she made a big smile.
<color=brown>"Well aren't you just the sweetest thing? Awwww.... Certainly I can make one for you. Diamond is pure carbon, so it should be a cinch. Keep in mind it won't be cut, it'll be in its gem form."

OOC: The extreme brutality and unflinching tone of the universe is what drew me in when i was young. It even influenced my thinking, sometimes war is the only answer and it made me think it was naive to believe otherwise. It has its comic relief moments as all things do: The dark humour of the fans, Orks just Orks and moments when it isn't all bleak and dark. Space Marines deploying via drop pod to relieve a beleagured line, Eldar overcoming a daemon host to recover a lost spirit stone. These moments are so well juxtaposed with the turmoil that each victory, however small feels like a great thing no matter if it isn't permanent. Of course to simpy enjoy only similar things would be completely constraining and dull. I can be happy when I want but this is usually only after an episode of MLP or when I'm drunk.

TT: Well, you're either planning on giving a diamond ring to Winona
TT: Which is normally how Pre-Condesce people bropose marriage.
TT: Or you're making the world's sharpest knuckledusters.

"What were the lyrics to that song AEanna sang again? Argh! I couldn't even understand any of it." Rose pondered aloud as she continued writing.

<color=brown>"Since it's just a small gem, it won't cost a huge sum of energy like the diamond shield that I made. That requires me pre-harvesting a lot more energy to do so. But I digress... here goes nothin'."

Sara put her hands in a position as if she was cradling an invisible sphere. She closed her eyes and concentrated the energy into her hands. The hands glowed brightly orange for a few seconds and dimmed down to reveal a diamond, glowing red from heat. Sara blew on it to cool it down, before it touched her hands.

<color=brown>"There we go. But keep in mind that while Winona will very much like your gift, she will probably not go for marriage if that's what's on your mind. We're all not ready to get married."

OOC: You can get such lighthearted and well-juxtaposed moments in a lot of franchises. While I believe that in some cases, even in the real world there are things worth fighting for, in the 40K universe there doesn't seem to be much of that left. The Imperium is pretty much the icon for that. The constant war and their attitude to it has turned them into a culture that no one could want to actually live under, and therefore there isn't really any hope to fight for. But I'm not trying to say why you shouldn't like it, just why I can't. Anyway, if you want AEanna to stay away from Caim and Lysandros, the I'll find something else to do.

Sara chuckled.
<color=brown>"Not exactly, the power is drawn from the strong nuclear force. The more I learn about it, the more I can do. But like I said before, while Winona will very much like your gift, she won't go for marriage just yet if that's what you're thinking."

TT: Considering that you're currently in a battlefield,
TT: Logic suggests the latter.
TT: But the secrecy and your relationship, then most likely the former.
TT: Neither is advisable.
