I frown. "Death seeker, death seeker, death seeker. Why does everyone keep saying that about me? I don't want to die, I just don't fear death, or pain for that matter. It's like I told Regulus, suffering through insanity makes me more prepared to understand and help others with similar problems." I pause and grin again. "I have a purpose. It's to be here. I am a shepherd, and you all are my flock. I lead you with a gentle hand, mostly, and protect you with a hard stick. That is my purpose in life." I say to Laura.
"Some sheep we have here then. Several anti-heroes, the girls of the nature laws of the universe, catgirls, and demons..." Laura pauses for a moment. "Most of the people here have already gotten over their own problems thanks to Laguna, and others. We don't need a shepherd leading us, most of us are here because of friends and growing relationships... Trying to prove a point with me when we have already lost so much to outside forces beyond our comprehension proves nothing. And trying to be the hero will get you killed."

I'm not sure if you know what some of the people in this group have been through while you were gone, but I shudder to think what sort of state some of these people would be in if not for me. You don't need a shepherd? Maybe not now, but you will, soon enough, you all will. And I'll be there. Because life never just stops giving you problems. There is always something to figure out or to worry over. It's unavoidable." I say.
