As I say, there is no logic in it. It is simply one of these things that people do because they enjoy it, and fail to consider the negative aspects. It is all about moderation, and most wise people know to stop before they get to that stage. Those who regularly make fools of themselves while drunk were probably fools to begin with.

"If you wish to have an 'affinity with the night', I would suggest that you walk with a lamp at night. The enhanced senses are all well and good, but the negative aspects of vampirism far outweigh those in most cases." she warned her. "I have to be constantly aware of my next source of blood, lest I turn into a mad,savage beast. And imagine not being able to eat your favourite meals any more, or drink with your friends. Not being able to see your own reflection. Having to shun the sunlight, and avoid anything that looks like it could possibly catch fire suddenly. It would do little good for your relationship as well, I suspect."
