Jio and Jin were running as fast as they could. Their feet kicked up dust as they ran over the bone dry desert. "We have to run faster. Who knows what danger that thing could pose?"

@Slenn If I were you, I'd take a break for a bit. This is some pretty heavey stuff that's going on.

Joe sees the whip crash down on Tanner. "Jerome!"
"That is it! First my icecream, now Jerome! You're going down!!" Joe shouted as he grabs the green from a cactus that was lucky enough to be shielded when Joe was protecting everyone else.
As he forms his sword, it starts to expand, taking in more and more lightning flames which forms it into a lance shape. "TAKE THIS!!" Joe shouts as the lance rockets itself and Joe headlong towards the monster.

Four used her Ignition Boost to get behind the Bloodthirster. She stabbed into one of it's wings with her Blade Tonfas and started flying around in random directions, Blade Tonfas still embedded in it's webbing, attempting to shred the demon's wings and reduce it's ability to move.
"Projectiles seem to have no effect. Close combat against hostile seems...inadvisable. Will hang back to provide medical support." Rose said to herself in a monotone voice as she dismissed her weapons and took cover behind Tanner's ship.

OOC: I actually like the fact that Joe is the only one who refers to Tanner as Jerome...wait...is this suppose to be pay back for all that "Fuzzy" stuff I started, @Zeph?
And @Drak, I think we are quite far from Tanner's ship. At least I think we would be after all the running our characters did to keep up with Regulus.

OOC: @Gear Well, the fact is that you've written Laguna in such a way as to make him one of the most likeable characters here. That takes at least some skill. The Bloodthirster cried out when Four started shredding its wings. The blades from the mech made short work of the thin wings.
It dismissed Joe's attack as a minor nuisance.
The deamon grabbed the axe and pulled it ouf of the earth, trowing up a massive dustcload as it did. It quickly turned around and swiped at Four.

I was able to get my bayonet out and deflect the wipe before it hit me. When the Bloodthirster when after Four, I took the opportunity to slash at it's leg. I'm glade I returned this thing to full power after last night. I think as I make the slice.

Sniper decided to go over to where Rose is...to keep her safe of course. "Think you've got the right idea little lady. Let those rough types take care of the beast." he said as he settled down next to her.
Laguna ran a little closer to the Bloodthirster, and summoned the Ragnarok. He changed the firing mode, charged, and fired, but instead of the beam shooting out, it stopped at a specific point and held, forming a giant laser blade. Grunting wiht the effort, Laguna swung the beam in the demon's direction.
OoC @Berk He's probably likeable largely because he's the most straight-up heroic character, apart from Slenn's science sisters. Like I said though, probably not reprising Laguna. I got some picks earlier for hereos and villans I may play in the next thread earlier, and from them I've narrowed it down to either Ragna, Relius, or my OC Jania. Leaning towards Relius at the moment.

From where she was lying, the gleaming light on his armour and face obscured his features, but she knew instinctively that it was no mere mortal.
As the unearthly warrior saw his arrow clatter away, he sniffed in assent as though he had expected nothing less and with a flourish, he drew a long, straight edged sword whose radiant steel was etched with uninterpretable runes that almost seemed to chant of a power long lost to the world. The mighty blade raised in the air, he charged down the arc of the rainbow, silvery shield held across his chest. Sprinting toward the bloodthirster, he swung the sword in an arc that released a flash of light at its torso, one which cut and burned as effectively as the most powerfully enchanted weapons in Tamriel.

OoC: @Gear I agree with Random. You make good characters. I think part of the reason I liked your Hazama so much is that you brought a certain charm to him. I don't know how to explain it, really. I loved to hate him. Also, I like Laguna and even Lambda, too. You're a boon to the RP, my friend.
Which reminds me. What happened with Nu? I haven't seen that brought up recently.

OoC: @Saltyk I did have a thing for Hazama's trolly bastard humour, but never got the sadism down. And Nu? I was gonna put Nu in an arc, but the thread's closing off, so probably not gonna do that. Then again, she had no quarell with the group, so it makes sense that she'd just leave them be.
