As James gazed in awe at the group shenanigans, an awful, and familar stench assailed his nostrils. Whirling around, he searched for the source, until his glare flashed across the decaying figure hunched and snarling on the edge of the clearing. His eyess widened in shock, and then he uttered a wordless bark of alarm and fury. In a flash, his sniper rifle was in his right hand and he brought it to his shoulder, not bothering with the scope for the short distance to the target.
