Joe peeked his out of the mechanical clockwork and saw Austin and Winter walking out of the ship. He continued to tinker with the ball but kept an eye on the two of them out of curiosity.
Winter and Austin get into their ready stances, their hands held up close to their face, but free.
Austin makes the first move, trying to deliver quick jab to Winter's shoulder, but it was blocked as Winter grabs and twists his arm, then immediately throws Austin into the dirt.
"Damnit!"
"You wouldn't win if you don't acknowledge the fact that I am now your enemy."
Austin rolls to the side and gets back up. He grabs Winter's right arm and attempt's to do the same thing that she did to him. But Winter easily breaks free of the hold, delivers a quick kick to Austin's knee cap and throws him back on the ground.
Winter and Austin ignore Xu and continue their CQC training. Austin dives quickly at Winter, who dodges with ease. Turning, he grabs the back of Winter, kicking the back of her knee to try and force her down, but to no avail; Winter was extremely good at CQC defense. She breaks the hold, grabbing her knife and slashes through Austin's suit.
Almost in a fluid mechanical motion, she twists Austin's other arm, and throws him on the ground.
"Dead yet again... Do you really forget your training? Do you want another Cecile to be in YOUR hands again? All because you did failed to react. We are soldiers Austin..." Winter growls slightly. Austin doesn't say a word and looks down.
"Perhaps that was too mean. Point is Austin if you don't acknowledge that enemies are simply what is standing in your path, no matter what past you had with them... You will never win."
<color=blue>"Sure thing." EMily shrugged and the two of them went back to reading on electroweak law in their holo-books. They sat patiently in the med-bay.
After getting herself horribly lost, Erica managed to find her way back to the clearing through sheer dumb luck. [sub]"I should tie some rope to a tree next time or something..."[/sub] She muttered to herself as she approached the ship.
"Training. CQC training. Its enough to break a few bones for soldiers if they do it right." Winter says to Xu, keeping her eyes on Austin. She puts away the gun. She acknowledges Joe's shout with a simple nod; still her eyes were on Austin.
"..." Winter grabs Austin from one of his arms and pulls him up.
"The past is done. Try and love again Austin. A part of you was broken when Cecile died, but continue dwelling on it will not change it or make it come back. We must forge our own path."
"I know but... I'm practically you again. Just a male you. Been trained the exact same way, except for being sent out on missions."
Winter's eyes soften up abit. "But that's the wondrous thing. You are not me. Your path is different from mine." She points a knife at Austin's neck. "And what you do from here on out... Is the true you." She stuffs the knife away, and pats Austin on the back.
"Looks like you have a few broken ribs and both arms are broken. And your not experiencing much pain. Looks like the Crusaders were thorough with everything."
