"Yes! Very!" Asha said enthusiastically, perking up at the possibility of food.

"Well...I guess I should try and talk with someone about it eventually." Rose said to Riou as she sat back up. She took a few deep breaths to prepare herself.

@Salty: Who is Jowy talking to?

"Because the war never ends Four. The children that I rescued. They still need me. They still need Austin. He's almost grown up, about to take my title. And I can't be more proud of him to do so. I can never go back; Austin already told me that I was listed as 'Killed in Action'. Only he would know the truth, and it already pains him that I can't return. I can't find solace with that thought still lingering in my mind."

She looks at Gwen.

"We had that. And it became lost to us. Our renaissance got mixed with war. People are either not looking to listen, or too ignorant by human discrimination. Point and case, the Vanguards and Wardens. Super soldiers that are will to sacrifice it all for humanity... And yet they are despised because they are different."

"I simply wished for a time like that to come... But where would I fit? The Vanguards, Wardens and us all fight for a time where people can finally set aside their differences, and live in peace... But there is no place for us there. Born and raised as soldiers. There simply is no place for us there."

"Well, I'm all ears if you're willing." Riou responded.

Erica had been listening to the conversation from a short distance away for some time, and felt slightly guilty for doing so.
Probally shouldn't be eavesdropping like this.
She walked over to Athena and said hello.

Gerry smiled as well, led Asha to the kitchen, and started to make her something.

And you think it's such a good idea just to give up at this early age. I think not. You have several decades to remove that old soldier identity about you."

"If you want to die so much, perhaps I can accommodate that. That is all. The Black Sword Rune is a power of destruction and offensive power, a willingness to destroy. Without that power, nothing can begin. That is what it represents." Jowy responded.

"Sooo what? You're gonna kill yourself, then that'll make Austin good enough to go back and help people or something? I just cannot wrap my head around anything you are saying." Four said. She rolled over onto her back and just looked up at the sky. She took in a deep breath after she heard what Gwen said. Several decades...must be nice...

Asha followed after Gerry and patiently waited with a smile on her face.

"Well...there was this one time that I had a stalker...it really didn't end well, or start well, or have anything good in the middle either really." Rose began.

"Uhh a stalker like a khajit or a theif.I can see why it didn't well.I mean he was trying to steal your stuff right.That's why he was stalking stuff"

"You had a stalker?" Riou paused at he considered what to say next. "That can't have been much fun. I'm sorry that you had to deal with an experience that most people would rather avoid."

"Hello, Erica. This seems to be quite an 'event' All sorts of people are crawling out of the woodwork." Athena replied.

Gerry finished and presented Asha with the food he made.

Winter looks at Jowy. "I will not die by voodoo magic of yours. I get headaches around trying to comprehend any of it. No offensive, but I'd rather do things my own way."

She turns back to Gwen.

"Problem is... Even I don't think peace is right for me. I need challenges, I crave arguments. I love the trill of adrenaline going through me. Conflict always brings progress, and yet wherever it happens, it devolves into fist fights and guns. The military-industrial complex."

She looks at Four.

"The Company needs another person to lead. Austin was to be my successor. I trained him, gave him all the info and knowledge that he required. I gave him everything. The only thing left is for him to take... is my life. But he is too caught up in the past to do the right thing, to make the harsh decisions."

 

[Chungus]

OoC @Salty: No worries.

"That one way to look at it. It's kinda worrying, but I figured it wasn't my place to interfere in any way." Erica replied with a hushed voice.

"It wasn't. He kept acting like he was my boyfriend...and even had this weird book where he wrote himself into every event of my life. It was really creepy." Rose confided in Riou. "You know, I might have actually preferred for that to be the case." She said to Mithas.

Asha happily started eating what Gerry had given her.

"Just doesn't make any sense to me that he has to kill you. You kill someone or something when they're a threat, or you want to eat them or take their stuff or something. Why are you threatening to him? Does he have to eat you to take your place or something? Why can't you just give him the stuff he needs?" Four said to Winter, speaking from experience.

An Ionian Greek once advised his scholars that it was best not to take more data to understand things, it was best just to think about it. Eventually the athlete, the scientist, the soldier, the gamer, the crime investigator, the thespian, the philosopher.... no matter how much they dislike it from wanting to do more, they'll need a time to rest and think."

"Voodoo magic? I haven't a clue what you're talking about. I was talking about destroying your soul. Or if you wish asking another to come and simply have him devour your soul. It wouldn't be too difficult. But, if that is your wish, I guess we shall see if you remain a Star of Destiny or become their enemy. I was giving you an out. Your fate is not yet known." Jowy begins to walk away. "It seems Riou has not yet told them of his Rune's purpose. Is it because he doesn't trust them, or does he seek to deny it to even himself?"

"I am simply observing for the time being. We will see what happens next." Athena replies.

Gerry sat and watched Asha, eating some fruit he had found.
