AEanna lowered her hands and picked up the staff. Again, she had noticed how the barrier deflected the flames and force of the blast rather than cancel them entirely.
"Most impressive." She said. "However, the school of destruction is only a narrow range of magic. As a mage I can also breathe underwater, become invisible to the naked eye, change your form into that of an animal, casue you to see things that are not there, summon elemental spirits to fight for me, and so much more. Some arts have been lost to history, or are forbidden due to the boundaries of moraltiy. Others still are unique to a select few individuals. I would still urge you to be cautious when fighting a mage. I suspect that there are ways to negate your barrier."

As she spoke, James appeared behind Medic and Heavy, his gun raised as he moved closer.

"What the hell is going on here?" He barked.

"Yes, yes. You are right." Grace said to Erica again.

Erica let go of Grace and smiled at her. She then turned to EMily and Sara. "So, did you two see just what exploded yesterday evening?" She asked.

Valentine and the others find themselves in a black void with pink and violet lines and shapes, that moved far too quickly to make out just what they were, moving around them, heading towards what seemed like a white sphere in the distance.

But... yeah, they were potions that seemed to pop up out of nowhere. I had no idea one of them would explode as there was no sign of instability from any one of them."

"As you will." AEanna responded before raising her hands defensively and shaking her head at James.
"Stay your hand James! They are our allies. We were simply practicing." On hearing this, James lowered his gun.
"Fair enough. My apologies." He said to the Medic before turning away and going off to sit on his own again, lighting a cigarette as he went. AEanna wondered why he stayed away from the others, but chose to go back inside the ship.
